Hello all,

I am trying to back up Feaver Pitch with DVD Shrink. What I would like to do is keep the menus so I can do chapter select. Is there a way to do this with re-author? Or is there another way? I don't really want all the warnings and other crap at the start just the "title menu" so I can return to a certain point. Reauthor says I have to do a "full movie" mode. I want to have as little compression as possible. Doing a full mode is about 57%.

Any ideas?

you can use can place a still image in place of the special features in full disc mode to keep the menus and main movie.

looked at the guide. Not sure I follow. I'm looking to have use of the menus. this way when I go back to the movie (I can never watch it from start to finish) I can go to the right chapter.

if you put still images in place of the extra features when special features Extras or whatever the DVD happens to call it is selected it will just bring up a JPG Pic of your choice.. Thus saving all the space of the extra features... Your Main Movie and Scenes menu's will still work...

It's a very good feature in DVD Shrink.. I've used it on Wrestling DVD's so I could make 2 discs one with the main title and one with the extra features... I just insert a JPG into menu functions that say insert disc one or insert disc 2

Re-authoring with Shrink will remove menu buttons functionality. You can use DVD Author, with that you can add menus to your movies.

You still have working chapters when reauthoring in DVD Shrink, you just don't have a menu to select a chapter...simply skip each chapter until you get to the one you are looking for.

Try MenuShrink it reduces the size of your menu but leaves buttons working.
