I am having a problem with the pianist. I am using shrink and anydvd and nero to burn with this combo I never have any problems.but today
when shrink is analysing the dvd it gets to 45% and freezes and an error comes up an says cannot continue failed to read file "E:\" incorrect function.I tried to clean the disk but it is still happening.the disk is a little scrathed but in the past i've been able to copy disks in worse shape then this.

Ok first off how is the disc, smudged, scratches, ect clean it if you need to...If it's in good shape try running the ripped movie through VOB Blanker then, shrink it...If that doesn't work it could be a bad press, and make sure you have the latest version of AnyDVD

Hi XxRUINSxX, thanks for your help.shrink doesnt even get to rip
the movie the error happens when it is analizing the movie.as far as the condition of the disk it has a couple of scracthes but I have never had problems with disks that were in worst shape then that.

Try DVD Decrypter - imo the best for these type of discs. Rip with that than process the files as usual thru shrink.

If you've had discs in worse shape that you could rip then maybe your lens is a bit dusty on the drive. Use a lens cleaner - this can sometimes help read thru these.

ok well i have a problem with fujifilm dvd-r today i copied stuart little 3 and it would not play on anything so i then copied it with the verbatim and it plays fine can someone help me plz

here is what i got
fujifilm dvd-r 8x and i burn at 8x and nothing it plays fine only on my dvd burner.


verbatim 16x and i burn at 12x and it plays fine on everything could some one plz help cause i paid alot for these dvd-r lol ty

by the way my burner is a dual layer 16x
im using anydvd with clonedvd2

Make sure your software is updated when using AnyDVD/AnyDVD Ripper (second one is free). You should also try writing no faster then 4x.

Fujifilm is not as good as verbatim. I would also make sure your firmware is up update - along w/ monce suggestion on the burn speed of 4x. See if that helps the compatiblity issue on those Fuji.

hey all i burned at 4x and now the fujiflim DVD-R plays fine looks like i won't be buying those ever again im sticking with the verbatim 16x it's way better then the fujifilm plus when i burn at 4x it takes to long lol ty for the help monce and binkie7 :)
