Thank lilfree, can you provide me with a link to the installer for devhook? Thanks so much. You took a lot of concern away for me. One last question if I can. After I downgrade to 1.5, and install devhook, will my bought games still load in the same way they do now or will I have to load them in a different way. Thanks!! I owe you.

I read some stuff on custom firmware and that you could recover from a brick if you were using it. Is that true or am I not understanding it right? If so, where can I find out more about custom firmware? Thanks guys, you're really helping me a lot.

To upgrade from 2.5 to 2.71, do I just download the 2.71 eboot.pbp file?

1. How do I install it once it's on my PC?

2. Can someone give me a link to where I can download the 2.71 eboot.pbp file?

to install eboot just go to PSP folder/GAME there u create a folder named UPDATE in caps since its case sensative

then u run the update from the game menu on the psp just make sure u have a full batt and the ac adaptor conected

and just in case u dont already have it heres the link for the downgrader

Hey guys. I did the downgrade and put devhook on and everything is working great. Thanks again for all your help. I'm lovin the PSP even more now!

Does anyone know where can I find a NES and a SNES emulator that will run on firmware 1.5?

just cso the iso that should reduce the size but it may make the game lag depending on the game or u can use a ripkit wich will rip files out like the music and or video's
