oh yea and when i download SID4 or w/e it won let me DRAG the file from the original .RAR file after i unrar it and the .ZIP files i have 2 extrac them 2 the desktop seperatly Each .ZIP file

yes i belive its 1 big one , you extract it then their should be 2 indivualed zipped , as far as in the past being softmoded its hard to tell
but try a diffrent mem card ...

ok, everything seems to have installed right but for some reason, my controller won't work, none of them will!!!! plz help, btw using evoX dash and the power button is red?

before you transfer the file to the memory card, do you have to un-rar the file (extract the rar file into another folder) or just transfer it as is??

after you download it drag n drop it to the ar software ( mem card side ) if that does not work i e this is not a vaild xbox save , then extrac the root .... basicly the first one ... after that their should be 2 more but keep those .rar or .zipped!! and do the same thing drag n drop

ok, got the controller to work (dunno how though), but i still don't know how to lock/unlock HDD so i can swap drives to save games on. i haven't been able to connect nline yet, sop i don't know if there is an update maybe? i'm using UnleashX, only softmodded. thnx

otherwise you get error code 06 , this is not like modchip!!! MAN WTF are you trying to do with a softmod? lol , read BEFORE you atemtp someting new , ask things !!! a chipped xbox is ok but not a softmoded one !!!!
if you want a bigger hard drive for your xbox you need to make it from scratch ,

my xbox i already soft modded, but it was done in a weird way by a freind. so i don't know how to download mods to my hard drive. it's a converted computer hard drive that was not done with action replay. any tips im not good at this type of stuff!!!

if i need to buy or install any thing so i can download things to the hard drive from the computer can you give a list of sudgested programs or soft ware i will need? i would probobly download all the crap software and skrew my xbox up. T.T

thnx for being a douche bag about it. i know there are ways to do it on ur computer, and since my xbox won't FTP with my comp, unlocking the hard drive and putting the files on it then locking it again is the only way to go.

onthedge : bro if you unlock your hard drive you nuke your xbox , yes theirs a way to do it from xbox to pc and that is called FTP . other then that theirs no other way except burn the game to hd , which you need to make a bigger one due to not fit .
and even if you unlock it per say what would you do from there????
**** the pc uses a entire diffrent file system so your xbox is NOT reconiseable by swaping it to the pc hard drive, so what other choices you have?
do this , go to a local store buy a 200gb or 300gb hd try to get maxtor once u have it pm me d/l xboxhdm1.9 ( xbox hard drive maker) then you can create your bigger hard drive , but do NOT unlock your hard drive or you will be asking for a new xbox....
seriosly who told you to unlock it????? lmao

Hey Gus. Say I wanted to change my default modded dash (EvoX) to UnleashX. Would I simply launch AID3 and install UnleashX DHCP softmodded dashboard to E:\ ? Thanks.

phil262: i forgot about you , umm you need ar kit and 1 of the 3 games ... so you can re make a new up to date softmodded xbox ....
unless you have a device to transfer files between xbox and pc ....
but you would need the game and the kit .
Mik3h : what i know is that you need to make the new dash on E/dash
what i dont know is what the hell is all this dhcp or hacked or softmoed version
i mean i know what it means but why not just make one simple thing like modchip users softmod users and sid 4 and 4.5 users ... lmao ask xbox hq on that but yes as long as it goes on E/dash it can be dhcp or w/e but E drive

sry, was in a bad mood, but basically i could copy all the current files onto my comp anf then place them on a new HDD. then, would i still have to lock it? using EvoX dashboard now, so it says i can lock a HDD from that. ideas? btw, i tried to copy XBMC to the apps section in EvoX, and it didn't show up, and i don't want to install XBMC as my main dashboard either. it may be a stupid question, but i just can't get apps to show up on EvoX when i FTP them into the apps folder.

yes evox and ux and any other dashboard has the option to UNLOCK HARD DRIVE and LOCK HARD DRIVE
problem is : SOFTMODED XBOX MUST NEVER BE UNLOCK or they are useless peice of crap
this option is for MOD CHIP users that can safely unlock hd and lock them, as the problem with evox and apps and such , this is why i hate evox , it has issues .. a dashboard reinstall will fix this
and xbox and pc files ARE NOT RECONISABLE... no matter what , otherwise we could of pirated sooo much easier ....
it uses a difrent file system !! so even if you UNLOCK IT and make your xbox USELESS ... for what? the pc is not going to reconis that hard drive!!

ok, lol. i think u didn't get the point, at least i don't think u did. i'm just trying to see if i can swap a bigger HDD into my xbox and make sure i have all my old data (eg. game saves, music, EvoX dashboard). i couldn't give about the old HDD. o any ideas about XBMC too? i'll ask again...

no my friend you did not get my point i did , i know you want to keep all of your old stuff so that you can have it on a new hard drive, BUT what i am trying to say is that you cannot do it like you mentioned ,,.... such as unlocking a hard drive... SOOO NOOOB
what you need to do is FTP!... file transfer protocal
this is the only way to save all of your stuff ... transfer it to your pc then you upgrade hd ONCE you upgrade hd just FTP that old stuff back to the new xbox hard drive

no it wont load evox just like that , you need to re run the game and just mod it ,... your files are going to be there.
why doesnt it load it ??? i dont know but it does not
