Staples: 50 packs of HP for $14.94. Their flyer is a 2 week special, but I lost mine, LOL

Office Depot: 50 packs of OD media-Buy1/Get 1 free for $24.99. The 8x,if they have any, will code as ritek, the plus 16x will code as ricohs. This makes it 25 cents each for ritek/ricohs. The best deal of any of the sales on regular dvd media.

OD also has maxell +/- rw in a buy 1 get 2 free. $24.99 will get you 3 of the 15 packs.

They also have the 10 pack OD media with jewel case as buy 1/get 2 free for around 8 or 9 bucks.

CompUSA: They have TDK 16x in 50 pack tubs for $14.99

Circuit City: I couldn't get through to them.

HP a1118x-b/athlon 64-3300+/BenQ 1650 BCDC/LG 8163B/Modded Wii/Epson-R300 and Ty Watershields!!!

saugmon- Hey lil' dancing green buddy on the Officedepot media ( does it matter if it's the old style label (RED , WHITE & Blue) or the new label (mostly blue -like in the current add ) as long as it's 8x in the DVD+R or DVD-R to get riteks ? They just changed the wrapper on them right or did they change Oem supliers to someone besides ritek?

The newer style blue/white shrink wrap OD media were the 16x speed. That's the picture I saw in their internet store ad as well.

I haven't purchased any there for a while, since their buy 1/get 2 free sale. They were 20 cents each during that sale,25 cents each for this weeks sale. It's over an hour away, and I got 450 sony yuden000-t02 sitting here waiting to be burned.

Now if they were 20 cents each,I'd be tempted for the drive and break out my credit card and pick up around 500 of them.

Their older 8x speed has a paper label, with clear plastic wrap-just like the sony media.Last time I was there, they only had the 16x speed 50 packs. They had a slew of 100 packs in the 8x speed, but wouldn't let me substitute for them when they ran out of the 50 packs,UGGH!. They did substitute the 50 pack tubs of maxell for that price, and I got quite a few of the hitachis for the same price.

20-25 cent hitachi! SweeeeeeeeeT!

I gotta grab thos sony +1x-8x up because all the other +8x media like OD and verbatim are getting very hard to find, LOL. Even the +8x maxell hitachi are getting scarce, even in the full hub printables.

Verbatim16x and those OD 16x are all over the place.
I've burned 2 spindles of the OD +16x. First spindle-Ricohjpn-R-3 burned 50 for 50. Second spindle had 3 burn coasters.Looked like a waterspot type of defect inbetween the dye and bottom acrylic layer. Also found 3 more that didn't get burned.6 bad discs in the middle of the spindle. Ok after I sorted them out.

Anybody posting a thread of what's on sale, these threads will get very long, and very detailed, LOL

Office Depot sent out coupons to Advantage members for 50% off their own brand of media. If you can find one of these you can get 100 pieces for $12.50.

Last week, I was able to use another 50% off coupon to purchase a 100-pack of 16x Office Depot media for $17.50. The deal also included a 128MB Memorex flash drive. It's important to note that on the previous deal, I didn't have the physical coupon, just the code. I ordered for in-store pickup, and although sometimes managers will demand to see an actual coupon when doing in-store pickup, they were nice enough to just input the code for me manually.

As many of you know, some people have had problems with 8x Ritek media, so I'm hoping that the 16x (if OD is still using Ritek as the manufacturer for the -Rs) will be an improvement.

The ad I looked on OD's website listed 15 packs of maxell +/- rw. 3 packs for $24.99

That's a very good price for DVD RW media.

All ritek media that I know of, is made in taiwan. So are ricohjpn and majority of verbatim's mitsubishi media. I can't complain about any of those in the plus format.

Those Made in taiwan fuji in the +8x will likely code identical to the +8x OD media. All Ritek-r03. Same exact MID code and quite a bit of price difference. It's basically the same media! The plus format fuji are a heck of a lot better than their dash, according to their many different manufacturers.

Now on the dash format, fuji quality drops on those made in taiwan spindles. Fujifilm-03 and some other low quality manufacturers, maybe even prodisc on them.Meanwhile, the japanese fuji will code as ty-g02. Huge quality difference between fuji-film03 and ty-g02.
