New Computer 2.3GHertz, but DVD Shrink takes 36hrs

Okay....my previous PC blew the coop, so I got a new one that is much faster...or at least it's supposed to be. Anyway, DVD Shrink always shrank movies in about 2 -3 1/2 hrs before, but now it says someething like 36-42 hours. What gives? Movie is Walk The Line. NEVER had this problem before.

I checked the Device Manager, IDE Controllers, Primary (2) IDE channels, and have them on DMA, if available, and Ultra DMA Mode 5 (1 of them is), but the other one syas DMA, if available, then Current Transfer Mode - not applicable.

Someone please help me here. Shrink's never taken this long. Decrypter worked in a few minutes, but the movie's still too big to burn on 1 DVD-5 disk with Nero...

If any of your devices(drives) are set for PIO mode, try uninstalling the IDE channel, reboot the PC, and check again, if still not set for DMA, you can manually set it to DMA if available then reboot and check again.

If a primary or secondary device shows "Current Transfer Mode - not applicable", this usually means that there is no device connected there.

You may also want to check that shrink isn't set to run in low priority made.
