Now that is a pretty good idea. Im not gonna get it, as my PSP 2.5 is working fine (touch wood), but anyone here tried it. It seems like a great idea to fork it that amount of money as opposed to having to buy a new PSP system. It also says it should come with 1.5 firmware :P

This is the Advice i give to many people when they are going to do the "PSP Exchange" trick...and something goes wrong
1) do a stand up and run out guns balzing
2)say u brougth the wrong one and run out(possibly screaming)
3)send a good looking girl, tell her to work her charms and try getting it swapped
4)send a adorable cousin, when they refuse tell it to cry/start a tantrum...

i was just wondering about that exchange trick, who really have to pay for the loss of dodgy customers like us guys? lol the staff or the company? lol

NO... whoever the pore sap is that buys your old psp.
After you get rid of it it is not your problem. So get out when you can.

What do sony do to fix a bricked psp? plug the psp motherboard direct to a computer or summin then flash the chip?

its something to do with flashing the memory-then upgrade it to the latest firmware so that you cant downgrade- i think

Dude, the last guy posted was more than 1 year ago.I was surfing on AD for bricked PSPs but I think he's either sold it in parts or just smashed it for fun.This should be the last revive of this thread, I'm just saying that he's probably left AD, having fun with a PS3 or Wii or whatever...
