can someone help i have just bought a 1.5 version firmware it came with 50 games on cds but i have bought my son some umd proper games and umd videos but it wont play them it says up grade your software how do i do this and how do i get the 50 games that are on the cds on to the psp hope you can help cos at the minute this machine is usless please talk in plain english cos dont know anything even though i have read loads of web sites they dont make sense. Hope you can help

I did get it on e bay. read the link before posting my question but will read it again slowly and hopefully understand it enough to put a game on my psp.. So will i ever be able to play bought psp games on my 1.5 firmware or not. Is there different types of psps?

Thanks joeva, So it is trial and error on the game front. if i bought a new psp would it play all the games you can buy till i can find out how to work this one works or till i break it ha ha

Different games require different firmwares to run, just stick with the firmware you,ve got.

lol sudds you didn't really answer his question lol
but yea if you got a new psp, 2.6 there is no umd you couldnt play.
However with 1.5 you have the ability to play 100+ games for free, so like the great sudds said, you're better off sticking to your 1.5.
He's got a 2.6, i have a 1.5(actually two),and we are both telling you to keep the 1.5

You can download these ISO,s mate but its against rules for us to post any links directly to these. But google it, and u,ll get somewhere. If u know about P2P torrenting it may help u? ;)

PspsetX for 2.0 firmware can help you load umd games which require higher firmware, but that means u have to upgrade to version2.00 before u can use it gilly.

MPH Loader - This is a utility that allows people with 1.5 firmware to play backed-up games that require 2.0 firmware.
Ms Pac Man is a classic. I personally play pac man junior.
No I am not fed-up with you at all. I always help people, and I really don't get tired of helping people. Plus any mother that will get in a forum to lookout for stuff for her son is sweet.
