Hi, ive been readin clear back to 2004 about dvd dcrypter errors ect.. ive been tryin for 2 days to get piglets big movie copyed with no luck... ive reset dvd derypter like they said back then, ive tryed it all differ ways, with it and with dvd shrink, but it gets to 17percent and starts this error: W 01:40:22 Failed to read Sector 362000 - L-EC Uncorrectable Error
just keeps sayin that wiht each sector, then complitly stops .. crc errors , tryed every thing ive read about it and it still wont work, im at a loss this time, useally dvd decrypter will work, but not this time. any ideas would be apprecated thxs ...

I made a backup of this movie for my daughter a while ago, I dont believe I did anything special backing this one up. I used DVD shrink alone to backup just the main title, had it create an ISO image and burned to disk using Imgburn (same as DVD decrypter's burn engine).

If you're getting CRC errors, check the disk to see if it's clean, make sure there are no smudge marks or bad scratches on the read side, If the disk looks good, it possible you got a bad press and will need a new/newer copy of the disk and try again.

If the disk looks a bit scratched up, try ripping the video files to your HDD with DVDFab Decrypter, it's a little tolerant of scratched DVDs and can usually get the job done. It's a whole movie ripper with the ability to decrypt a copy protected DVD, you'll still need DVD shrink to reauthor and shrink the files down to fit on a single layer disk, Just use shrink to open the files created by DVDFab and proceed as usual.

Thxs john for ur help,, i downlded dvdfab and used it with shink and it fially worked..... u alwos said u used (ISO image and burned to disk using Imgburn) is it better then dvd decryper ?? and ive not heard if imgburn is it new ? or am i out of date lol.... again thxs for the help

No problem, I'm glad I was able to help you out.

Imgburn is an enhanced version to DVD decrypter's burning engine, the application was written by the same individual.
