unjust...you hit that nail on the head. history repeats itself...just as all the discussions were about cd's and now dvd's it will be the same stuff just substitute Blu-ray for dvd.....
i think it will be awhile before we start having debates regarding the Blu-ray and hd-dvds, reasoning being, these blank media (as well as the dvd players/burners that can actually utilize this new tech) are insanely expensive...naturally, as time progresses the hardware for them will drop in price and media will drop in price too accordingly, however, to start making coasters using these VERY new (and pricey) media formats is enough to make a grown man cry~ LOL
i for one will wait for a long time before i consider purchasing a dvd-burner and media to go with either of these new formats, much too rich for my blood...and to think people are bitchin' about the prices of DL media today, wait till they see the price tag for Blu-ray or HD-DVD LOL :)
if you got pockets deep enough to be the "first kid on the block" w/ Blu-ray or HD-DVD, their respective burners and dvd players, please by all means, let us know which manufacturers are the best and which ones to avoid... :)
i'll stick to my Verbatim DVD+R DLs for a long time to come...but that's just me~
