Keep us posted - email thing I know at 1 time there was a problem w/ yahoo email addy's. So if you using one for aD that might be the problem.
You can check to see if the firmware took by going to Nero Info Tool>Tool Kit. On the drive tab there's a field for firmware - the version # listed should be YYS4.

hey there, i don't use yahoo email...
i looked in info tool kit and it says version 41 ?????? never looked before, but that doesn't make any sense to me. but i don't know what it said before. 41 is not the previous one either, is it??? newbie

Wrong drive picked in Nero Info Tool :) That's your dvd rom drive.
Pick the Sony drive.

Try flashing it again - you should receive a message at least saying complete. Once you reboot it should take.

That is very strange! But you should be okay. Try the fuji discs now - this may have helped them. I would still try switching to the ones recommended.

just to keep in touch, it's become a daily thing! i copied Taking Lives and had no problems. will still look for better discs. did not see where it says quick copy??? i remember seeing it in the past, but not sure where, when. whatever... i'll let you know if i have any other problems. youre great. thanks.
