Ive been researching how to run shin budokai for ages and have decided to make this tutorial. It' actually quite easy but lots of people (including my self) have been finding it hard.
Things ull need:
---A 512mb or higher memory stick
---A PSP!!!!!!!!!!! 1.50
---MPHGameLoader 1.1
---UMD Emulator 0.8c
---an untouched Dragonball z shin budokai iso
---Updated flash0 and flash1 folders which are found here: http://www.benanddana.com/Downloads/PSPDBZFix.rar
(thanks benagain for psting the link.
Steps
1. Install mph loader and umd emulator on ur psp
2. unzip the file downloaded from http://www.benanddana.com/Downloads/PSPDBZFix.rar
(ull need winrar)
3. Once uve unzipped the file go into custom and copy the folder that is called MPHGameLoader onto the root of your memory stick.
4. Put the shin budokai iso into the folder called iso on ur memory stick root (if u dont have that folder just make one)
5. Load up UMD Emululator
the options should be like this
222/111 mhz
System Menu
game
game ( if you have got a video in the drive choose video for this)
remove
on

regionfree
regionfree
regionfree
off

the top option in umdemu is the clocking option
mine is like this and it works fine
its better to keep the bus speed lower for the isos cause running it at 333 doesnt make that much of a difference and it burns your battery faster..
the psp comes underclocked to help you get more out of the battery.. only overclock for snes and dgen games other than that leave the psp underclocked

Joeva--- Thanks for the advice. No wonder my psp run out so fast lol. For pursuit force ull need 333/166 though i think.
Rob--- Yeah it should work for other games since it works with tokobot and gta. But only use this for games requiring 2.00+ fw. UMD emulator is better han fast loader. tell me what games ur trying to load and ill help u ill tell u how ok?

i would try and look for isos that are already fixed.. the truth is all my iso's i've never had to alter at all or do any prx shit. i just got em and they worked. but there is a tutorial for the prx swapping thing and it sounds like you need to do that for lemmings
get UMDGen http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/155
Not over yet, youll need http://tinyurl.com/rotwg
To get this file
go to the page and find the place where it says [PREMIUM] [FREE]
click FREE. It will take you to another page where there is a counter, counting down from about 20. Once it reaches 0 it will ask you to enter 3 characters to make sure your human n not a comp.
that should be a tutorial that should help you with swapping the prxs.
if u need more help jus ask

it depends on what game you are trying to run, most of the games will run on direct load(emulation mode)
however certain games you will need to run on sytem menu and have mph loader

Yeah i hate swapping prxs its annoying but its quite easy i use umdgen. OFFTOPIC: I wonder how big the gt:4 mobile is gunna be hopefully under 200mb since anything over that is hell with dial up since have to leave it on over night its annoying lol.

even 200mb will be annoying with dialup..
and gt4 will have to be ripped that game will be 1.3-1.8 gigs guarenteed.
i don't kno if we'll be able to exploit that one tho.
glad the swapping prxs work lol. =)

Pursuit force works without modifying it but ull need to over-clock the cpu 333/166 (change the cpu of umd emulator to 366/166 MHz)
Its a kool game but hard.

bo_bo_bo...you are the man. Thanks for tutorial. I had been trying for about a week to get DBZ to run. And it worked in about 5 minutes with the help of these instructions. I did have some questions though.
1. Why is there 2 UMD emulators in the the RAR file?
2. What firmware dump is in the flash0 folder?
3. What games have you played using this setup?

1. The guy who made the pack must have had 2 because he probably wanted to keep one for use with mphgamloader and one for loading normal backups using direct load mode. I used to have only one as well but it got confusing and im forgetful.
2. This shin budokai pack comes with the 2.5 firmware dump in flash0/flash1, it will run almost all games
3.Megaman powered up
SHin budokai
GTA
