Would you new people bug out of my thread unless you have something to offer my problem? You are cluttering up my question. Please do not even reply to this, just shut up. Thanks.

dickgroff,
If you go to the site below what you want to do is similiar to a flipper. Read the instructions and you should be able to do it.

I would use DVDRemake and then use DVDRebuilder but using Shrink is free and the other programs cost $

You could shrink each of the 2, then use re-author mode to put the 2 together, then it would automatically shrink that down again.

I FIGURED IT OUT! It can be done with DVDShrink and Nero. (deadrum you had it, but not enough detail for a neo like me.)

Here's how I did it (forgive me if I do not use the correct lingo...I am a neo):

First you will need three temp folders on your HD to park the files before burning the final. I copy only Title One, if you want the entire original, I do not know if this will work.)

1. In options, choose dvd-9 8.5 gb. This allows each disc to be copied, without compression. Compression of both takes place later and makes it more uniform.

2. Using re-author mode, insert side one (or disc one) and drag and pull Title One to the left side.

3. That triggers the short version analysis. Then do the long analysis and assign your first temp folder. (the program will say you do not need an analysis because you have set up the 8.5 mode, but do it anyway.) When complete, backup to the first temp folder.

4. When it ejects the disc, do not proceed to Nero. Insert the second side or disc. Drag and pull Title One and repeat the above, using your second temp folder.

5. Now you have two analyzed and backed up files each named title one.

6. Now, on the right side, call up your first folder and drag Title One to the left side. Then call up your second folder and drag the other Title One to the left side. (You will see the program automatically lables the second file as number two.)

7. Next, highlight both files on the left side.

8. Click on Analysis, it will now analyze both title ones as if they were one file, and stitch them together. This is where compression of both titles takes place and is done uniformly, instead of more on one than the other if the initial steps were taken with the settings for 4.7 discs.

9. Then, clik backup and assign them to your third temp folder. A single file with both title ones will be put there, which is what gets burned to the dvd.

10. When that backup is finished your tray will be opened and you then put in your blank 8.5 disc and proceed to burn as normal.

This may sound complicated, but it is really just three steps. Step one and two analyze and backup title one from each disc, but do not burn them. Step Three analyzes and backup the two files together, as one, and then burns them as one.

You can actually stitch two unrelated movies together on one disc.

Thanks for eveyrone's input. very helpful.

Glad you have it going and sorry if a little more detail would have saved you time. Sometimes I ramble and that doesnt work well in forums.
