Yeah the bulls***ters were out in force in the console forums too. Some prick claims to have something that those of us who know are well aware doesn't exist. Would expect more from not a n00b but I suppose everybody likes to try and be big once in a while.. great pleasure destroying that one. It's the main school (read retard training camps in the uk) holidays..that's where they all come from.

Damn, I've got to check in more often; I seem to be missing all the good stuff lately.
My bitch du jour: my doctor woke me from a good sound sleep yesterday morning only to tell me that I'm diabetic...he could have waited until I was up and about! I've been waiting for that particular axe to fall for thirty years. My mother and her father were type 1 and all my mothers sisters are type two; everyone in her family had (has)it. Statistically, its one in three children and while I love my sister and brother dearly, I had hoped it would be one of them rather than moi (nasty for one's brother, eh? ... I should be ashamed). The good new is that its not the nasty uncontrollable sort that mom and grandpa had and it isn't too bad and I may not have to take any medication if I watch what I eat (seems like a 50-50 deal)but anyway, it isn't nasty. So that is my bitch for today. I'm going to miss those occasional demands of my sweet tooth and my love for pasta!

Thanks Estuansis but it isn't as bad as it sounds. There are degrees of it. If I change the way I eat, I'll probably never have to even take a pill for it. If it were the really nasty kind, my doc says I would have shown signs of it years ago. I'm really going to miss my sour cream chocolate cake and my occasional visits to the menonite bakery down the street though!

Welcome to the club. Type II is epidemic in the US now and after the first 6 months you'll start slipping back to enjoy what you thought you would never eat again. I just take the lowest pill doses and I enjoy everything from time to time. There is a lower level to "quality of life" that one just won't go. When I knew I was sick first, the Dr. couldn't believe I had it. Walking aound with over 500 blood sugar! Rarely gets over 200 unless I'm bad. I have 2 brothers-in-law and they've had it (TypeII) for years.
A class mate in college got married and was in the Honeymoon suite in town and he forgot his insulin. I had to make a delivery to his room early in the morning. Still laugh about that. Don't sweat it, it's not that bad.

Hey gerry1 it's not so bad now the sugarless sweets, pies and such are actually good tastin now days. I'm type 2 myself and on the pill and I don't starve just am careful on what I eat.Different foods affect peoples sugar differently. My family also has a history of sugar. My son was diagnosed at age 6 and I was diagnosed at 51 after 2 trips to the hospital when the first time they didn't check the blood tests for Diabetes.The initial shock was the worse figuring by that time I'd never get it.I guess the songs right that lifes a dance sometimes you lead and sometimes you follow.Good luck Chris

LOL! You guys are great. I actually have a female doctor by the name of Tang. A chinese woman. She's older but still very pretty :)
She kind of started a small thing I have with Asian women. In fact my girlfriend Jacelynn is half Thai and half English. She's very pretty as well. I'm amazed someone as beautiful as her would even like an average guy like me. But I asked her out in October and we've had no problems yet :)
