Not sure where the problem lies at. I used DVD Shrink only to shrink the movie to fit onto a 4.7 GB disk. The steps I used were to open dvd shrink, insert disk (making backup copies), hit full disk, it did the process, I went in and did a custom ratio shrink, and the only thing that I took off was the french, spanish versions. Shrank it till there was a slight amount of grey showing on the bar, then clicked backup. When the box opened I chose burn with Nero, and saved to a folder. The movie burnt well, but the previews have no sound. Anyone have any idea what the problem is? Is it because I took out the french and spanish? Any help would be appreciated. I am using a HP Slimline, xp home edition, Intel Celeron processor, 1.50 GHz, 1.50 GHz, 504 MB of RAM, Physical Address Extension (whatever that means?), I am using DVD Shrink 3.2 (nothing else although DVDFab was suggested but shrink seems to be working without it), and Nero 7.0.8.2 Just looking for ideas, suggestions, solutions lolol as to why there is no sound on the previews? Also, this is only on one movie dukes of hazzard unrated, could it just be the movie? the main movie plays just not the previews or the extra's.

If your only problem is the audio--or lack thereof--it's probably because you unchecked the english. You say you took off the french and spanish audio streams but are you sure you didn't uncheck the English one? It happens.

Everything you explained sounds good. I'm willing to wager you just went check happy and didn't notice.

It happens to the best of us. Just try it again.

Here's a guide on how to re-author using shrink, make sure you keep the 5.1 AC3 english audio channel.

Whenever I backup a DVD with DVD Shrink, I always first burn the new ISO image to DVD+RW and watch it on my settop DVD player. If I have accidentally discarded any needed streams it will be revealed then. Only when I am sure my backup was complete do I delete the ripped DVD files. BTW, my personal strategy for shrinking is to keep all supplemental materials and discard unwanted audio streams. For example, I always deselect DTS streams when AC3 streams are present. Also, I discard foreign language streams and, when both Dolby 2 channel and 5.2 channel options are available, I discard the 5.1. Then as mentioned I preview the resulting ISO to make sure I have the proper audio left intact. This works for me.

hi everyone. Thank you all for your responses. To be totally honest, no I'm not sure that I didn't select an English file and get rid of it. I appreciate everyone's response. I am new to all this and don't know much about it. Thanks.
