DVDShrink will burn with any burning utility. If you go into properties. You can set it to burn with Nero.

DVDshrink can work with any burn software.
But you can configure it to automaticly run Nero if present after transcodeing, which makes using it a snap. Otherwise, yo have to use whatever DVD burn software you have and navigate to the DVD files and set up the burn manually.
So, Shrink is best with Nero.

That's not entirely true laserman1. A lot of people use DVD Decrypter just for burning because DVD Shrink has an option to burn automatically with DVD Decrypter as well as Nero. Other than these two burn tools, yes you would then setup an alternative burning application. In other words, Nero is not the only option for automatically burning with DVD Shrink.

Shrink will also autoburn with CopyToDVD if you have that program, and you can also by changing some settings have Shrink use ImgBurn automatically, which is the upgraded Decrypter burning program.

Is there a way to adjust the speed for DVDFab Decrypter? I saw someone say it takes like 15 mins to get the data from the disk to the Harddrive. Mine has been going for hours. Also, I noticed the light on the Burner is not steady like it usually is, it is blinking.

oOApEx,
There is no way to control the rip speed using DVDFAB Decrypter as that is usually controlled by the device. You might have a bad mastering press or bad scratches on the disk and that is causing the slow times. If that is the case then it needs to be returned for exchange. Make sure you are using the most up to date version of DVDFAB Decrypter
If your DVD-Rom's lens is dirty that could also slow you down so you might need to clean it

Another good idea is to run the files through VOBBLANKER after using DVD Fab, this will correct some inherent errors before shrink.

oOApEx,
Sounds like DVD compatibility problem as it plays fine in the 360. I doubt VobBlanker will help w/ that. Some of the more expensive units are really finicky w/ what blank media they like while the cheap ones will play a pizza. LOL Try burning the DVD slower like may be at 4X and if you use Good blank media it should play. My original DVD player is 5+ years old and it plays Verbatim and Taiyo Yudens disks perfectly

Here'a guide that should help, just incase you missed anything.
Download and install DVDFab decrypter (make sure it's the latest version), use DVDFab to rip the video files to your HDD.
Get it here;
http://209.172.35.173/download/DVDFabDecrypter29.exe
Here's a guide on use if needed;
http://www.dvdshrink.info/dvdfab_decrypter.php
Once DVDFab decrypter is done, you'll have a VIDEO_TS folder on your hard drive containing the files it ripped. These files will need to be processed thru vobblanker to remove fake cells and correct file structure so shrink can open the files and process them correctly.
Get vobblanker here;
http://members.aol.com/posunplugged/jsoto/VobBlanker_2100_exe.zip
Unzip the file and run the executable, it will look a bit like this:
For input folder selection:
browse to where the VIDEO_TS folder created by DVDFab decrypter is located, inside the folder, look for the VIDEO_TS.IFO file and choose it.
The path might look something like this:
c:\Movie folder\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO
Note: When importing the VIDEO_TS.IFO file, if you notice that vobblanker has marked a video title set (VTS) in the top half as skipped, click on the Proc.All button on the right to ensure all video title sets are processed.
For output folder selection:
create a new folder on your desktop and call it "MOVIE", inside that folder create a new folder and call it "VIDEO_TS "(this is where you'll have vobblanker put the output files it will create)
Once the folders have been created, have the output folder selection point to the VIDEO_TS folder in the MOVIE folder.
The path for output folder might look something like this:
c:\documents and settings\johnl123\desktop\MOVIE\VIDEO_TS
Now just press the PROCESS button on the bottom and wait until it's done. Once the process is complete, there should be a new set of video files that vobblanker created in the VIDEO_TS folder that's in the MOVIE folder on your desktop.
At this point run DVDshrink and open the files, click on the "open files" tab and browse to where the VIDEO_TS folder is that's in the MOVIE folder on your desktop and choose it. Shrink will import the files now correctly with no errors, at this point you can use shrink as you normally would to create a backup. Have shrink reauthor the DVD to backup just the main movie and 5.1 eng audio channel, have shrink create an ISO image and burn it to disk using DVD Decrypter.
Here's a giude on using shrink with DVD decrypter;

Before I do anything, VobBlanker came with 2 registry entrie files. Do I run both of the before using the program?
I already ran the files just like that threw VobBlanker before and Shrink still couldent pick it up. Then I tried running the original files that came right from Fab and those dident work either. I wouldent be so pissed if Fab dident take like 3 hours to rip the DVD. Still clueless why it takes so long.
I think im having every problem that can possibly happen.

Just run the .exe file. Those registry entries/files are there for:
1) Just in case you make changes to the program's settings and want to keep those settings by having them saved to your registry.
2) The other is to remove the changes you made from your registry.
Remember to do this:
Note: When importing the VIDEO_TS.IFO file, if you notice that vobblanker has marked a video title set (VTS) in the top half as skipped, click on the Proc.All button on the right to ensure all video title sets are processed.
This method will work in backing this movie, if you still can't get it to work, then there may be a problem with the disk itself, return and exchange for another.
If DVDfab is taking a long time to rip this movie, there may be someting wrong with the disk itself and/or your drive's May be in the slower PIO mode, so you should check to make sure DMA has been enabled for all devices.

I did everything right, this makes no sence what so ever. I got the newest version of DVDFab and VobBlanker. Fab takes like 3+ hours to rip a DVD. Then when it finnally does finish I take the files and run them threw VobBlanker and Shrink still cant pick it up. Says it cant read VIDEO_TS.VOB. Everyone is doing it the same way as me but mine doesent work.

you didn't say if you have DVBD43 or AnyDVD. If you don't have AnyDVD and can afford it, get it. There isn't one movie I haven't been able to do with just AnyDVD and shrink. The two work great. DVDFab, vobblanker, shrink, and decrypter is great if you have only free software. Personally I want to get done fast. If you have AnyDVD, you open and rip with shrink and use whatever burning engine you use. Two steps, thats it.

ANYDVD can't burn anything. What stopped while you were ripping it? There's no way AnyDVD and shrink couldn't do Dick and Jane.

Read Error! Ignore Read Errors?
That is what AnyDVD said.
Should I just ignore them then run VobBlanker later
Also, Im not trying to rip Fun with Dick and Jane, Im trying to rip Pirates Of the Caribean.

Forget vobblanker. Open the DVD with shrink.Click on the disk in the left corner. It will preview it real quick. Then chose what you want. Full disk or just the movie. I reauthor mine to get rid of the crap.If you do full disk then just hit backup. If you reauthor click reauthor and another screen pops up. Pick title 1 and move it to the left window. Then click on compression and take out what you don't want. I just leave 5.1. Then hit backup.

It wont go all the way threw on DVD Shirnk, I tried it like 10 times. I usually use DVD Shrink and Decrypter to burn movies. But I got Fun with Dick and Jane and Pirate of the Caribean and I havent been able to burn either of them. Usually I have no problems burning movies, I know how to use DVD Shrink very good.
