try closing them and try it. This has worked on every DVD that I've done lately. It could be the original disk your using. Try it with another disk. Also do you have all the updates for AnyDVD?

Only program I was able to Rip Pirate of the Caribean with was DVDFab, only problem was that it took over 3 hours and when it was finished the files wouldent even go into DVD Shrink even when I used VobBlanker on them.

oOApEx,
The errrors you are getting has nothing to do w/ any program on your computer. The disk either has bad scratches or it is mastered incorrectly. You need to return it for exchange. If AnyDVD and DVDFAB Decrypter can not rip it then the disk is bad

oOApEx,

Stop the insanity and exchange the disk for another, the one you presently have is absoultely damaged in some way.

Use Anydvd and believe

@hound64

Different regions have different levels of copy protection.

That I do, that is why I suggested about finding out the different areas for need to know. Might be helpful for info like that. Again, maybe not, just seeking information. Tks

hound64,
oOApEx had a bad disk and that is why that problem was there. There are more and more bad mastering presses as Hollywood is going to the lowest cost provider. You can still view the DVD but when you copy it it drives the computer bonkers. The reason you are not having a problem is maybe you are doing it correctly :)

I tried doing the above methods. I used the latest DVDFAB Decrypter. That worked fine it only took 15-20 mins. I tried VOBBlanker and at VTS 06 I get an Error reading input VOB: Unsynchronized. I clicked the process all tab on the side and everything. I tried it with using DVD43 in background and without and get the same error.

I have another strange one to add. I have ripped Fun with Dick and Jane using DVD Decrypter and the psl files. I then opened DVD Shrink and burned the "fixed" files to dvd. Everything works perfect. So then i wnated to create a .iso file to play on my Buffalo Linktheater using Wizd and the playback is terrible. The first thing to play is the commentary (which isnt the case on the DVD)and after that the main movie plays in random order??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Also, it should be noted that AnyDVD+DVD Decrypter+DVD Shrink=perfect backup. Or AnyDVD+CloneDVD 2=perfect backup! You could go cheap: DVD Decrypter (have it skip the errors caused by Sony's Arccos protection)+FixVTS+DVD Shrink=perfect backup!
Just make sure you have the latest versions of all of these before attempting to backup Fun with Dick and Jane or any other movie with Sony's Arccos protection!

I had no problem with it. I used DVD Fab Decrypter and then Dvd Shrink if Dvd Decrypter didn't work. All Free.

I haven't run into one Dvd I needed Slysoft for.
