I'll have to say that AnyDVD is a must with regards to newer encryptions that is if you want to back up the entire film with extras and menu. Also an excellent feature with AnyDVD is you can change the way your DVD starts, bypassing the original opening of previews and such. You can either go right to the main movie or you can have your movie start from the title menu. These added features add to your viewing pleasure i.e. just being able to press play just once and watching the movies previews only if you wish to. Hey try it out for 21days, you'll be sold. It also enhances the features of other great programs like VOB Blanker and Nero 6 & 7.:P AnyDVD will kill most of your whoes.....a fast PC and quality blank disc are also a plus. Burning to bad media is a waste of anyones time.:P

indeed, i used it only on a couple movies during the 21day trial, but don't have Visa so couldn't buy it yet. AnyDVD is impressive and you can't knock updates for life. But for now i'm getting by with DVDFab Decrypter until i get AnyDVD

@exxitar
Are you saying that once DVDFab was done, the VIDEO_TS folder was only 1.2GB in size?

What version of DVDFab did you use?
The latest is..DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.7.5

New in this version is..
- New: Added removal of fake VTS and PGC automatically.

Just wondering if there might be a bug in this version that may remove legitimate video title sets such as the one addressed in the latest anydvd version:

- Fix: Bug introduced in 5.9.5.2, on some DVDs title sets could
be accidently deleted (AnyDVD mistook them as decoys from the newest
SONY ArccoS protections)

What was the size of the file(s) produced by DVDFab only?
It looks like the latest version is deleting video title set that it should not be. VIDEO_TS folder size??

What was the error produced by shrink?

I did Narnia with CloneDVD 2, also used VOB Blanker to blank a couple of items in the main movie file, then processed and then ran it through Recode 2 and made one with Rebuilder Pro/CCE. They all look great, I was pretty impressed with comparing the copy from Recode 2 to Rebuilder Pro...Came in pretty close, at least on my display. I do not understand how one prog. has no issue with this movie, yet Recode 2 wouldn't get it without me running it through VOB Blanker, then it was perfect. My family loves the movie and so we have several copies throughout the house.
AnyDvd was running in the background.

Do you have the previous version of DVDFab, if so can you use it instead?

When you load the VIDEO_TS.IFO file in blanker, do you get a warning that it will skip a VTS_XX_.*VOB?

Also in the middle of blankers window you'll see a SIZE(MB) section, with the VIDEO_TS.IFO file loaded, can you tell me what the initial and final size values are?

tmfloria,
exxitar had stated earlier that the latest version of DVDFab is being used. I've also been doing some reading (since I haven't done this flick yet) and some members state that the latest version didn't work alone judging by the error shrink is producing "invalid data in file c:\DVDFabdecrypter_temp\DVD\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB"[/B]" and seemed not to work with vobblanker either, that's why I suggested trying an earlier version just to rule that out.

Anydvd will get the job done if all else fails.

Getting anydvd is worth it, you shouldn't have to go thru this much trouble again. All I now use is anydvd with clonedvd2 and have had no problems since, but I still like to try all the free application available now and then, just for the challenge.

I believe that there maybe a problem with the way DVDFab is ripping that movie and it's showing up in vobbkanker as displayed in your log.

Good luck
John.
