Anyone else notice this when 'encoding' with DVD Shrink

In the video preview window, I'll watch it go through the encoding process, but I've noticed the video plays for like three or four seconds then pauses for half a second, then plays again. This happens when I first select a title and Shrink does the initial analysis and also when encoding.

Is this normal behavior?

It probably has something to do with the performance of your machine. If your backups playback without a problem, I would not worry about it.

When analysing or encoding DVD's with Shrink on my computer, the preview seems to play through without pauses but then again, it's not supposed to be playing at real-time speed. I would think its normal for the preview itself to skip as you will see this happen with many other video editing programs.

What are the specs for your computer?
