I guess you yourself need to look for torrents with people seeding them. and you just have to be patient. I usually download stuff overnight and i just leave them on until they are done. But otherwise im not sure. I havent tried the stuff in that thread. But read it anyway. there are like 1000 replies to that thread so.... idk.

personally i would recommend utorrent over Azureus.
http://www.utorrent.com
utorrent uses less resources that Azureus a lot less, and if you are like me, i have adobe photoshop running, max payne minimized and like 6 other programs running at a time, Azureus can be costly. unless you have a dual core processor, cause then it just dont matter lol.

well they all more or less do the same thing but i prefer utorrent, try it and tell me its not the best.

i just got it from sum other person that had it... i dont really care. and i just got utorrent. yea i guess its better. more info on that bottom bar which is useful. basically the same though. thx

And remember, always seed to at least at ratio of 1, preferably 2 or higer because its not fair when you just finish downloading, leave and don't share with others.

There seems to be 2 distinct groups of people, those that think Torrent is excellent and those that think it sucks. There seems to be no middle ground.
I myself have never ever found a torrent file that worked. The few that actually ever start to download are sooo sloooow its painful.
Ares is they way to go as far as I see it. Super fast downloads and always lots of sources.

really? guess i'm the opposite of you. For me, ares, limewire and everything else is slow, theres not as much stuff for me, the dl is super slow because its only from one person. For bt, i just go to a bt site get the stuff i want, download from about 100-10k users and get speeds of 200kbps(my max speed) and finish about 7 gb's a night if I wanted something that big.

Ares also downloads from as many sources as possible, most of the files I download have at least 15-20 simultaneous sources and happily chugs along at maximum download speed for my broadband connection.
I know torrent works very well for some, but I just never managed to get it to work. Perhaps its just me :)

sometimes it takes a while to speed up. Like on some torrents, I have to leave it on for like 10minutes until it finds enough peers to be a decent speed. Also check seeders in the tracker info when you're getting a torrent.

Look just get over to http://www.demonoid.com and read the FAQ there
It's a members only download site so unless you know a member you ain't getting nothing but knowledge....
The best torrent FAQ I have ever seen...
Some sites ban various ports and clients..uTorrent I have seen on a ban list a few places...Azureus is accepted everywhere....

bombay it usually happens after a day, and your posts in safetly valve dont count for your upgrade, so look at how many posts you have in safety valve and subtract that from your post count and you will see how many posts you really have....
