After ripping the moving using DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink cannot find the main movie. Clicking the Re-Author menu button, the Main Movie does not display in DVD Browser. This has happened twice now. "The Great Raid" and "Howl's Moving Castle". The main movie files are on the computer and can be played from the computer.
If you can play the files on your computer, you must have a folder containing .VOB, .bup, and ,ifo files in it. The folder should be named VIDEO_TS, if not rename it, run shrink and click on the open files tab, browse to where the VIDEO_TS folder is located, highlight the folder and click ok/open.
That doesn't work. The answer is VOB Blanker. When I loaded the files into VOB Blanker, they claimed there are multiple angles for the movie. In Blanker, everything had a status of Process except for the movie (Skippped). I right clicked on the movie and set the status to Process and processed everything to another folder. After that, Shrink was able to load the movie and it burned just fine.
Ahhhhhhh, but that wasn't the way you stated the question/problem.
Quote: DVD Shrink cannot find the main movie. Clicking the Re-Author menu button, the Main Movie does not display in DVD Browser.
The statement above was very misleading, shrink should of produced an error when trying to open the files and should not of been able to open them:
You might of gotten an error stating system cannot find file specified?? or something like that.
You made it sound as if the files were on your HDD, but shrink was unable to loacte them, but judging by your last post, shrink did locate them and you did try and open the files.
You should try and be more clear as to what you've done, that is what tools you used and what error condition(s) existed when trying a specific process.
