help please, i am trying to copy a dvd movie to a dvd. i have done a few before but now i am getting an error message from dvd shrink. cant find or open the file. ty for any help rd
If you want to go with the FREE method, then I highly recommend you get the latest from DVDFAB Decrypter to rip the movie (any movies) into your hard drive first. Then try to import/load into DVD Shrink and continue on with the usual "transcoding" process, if DVD Shrink encountered any errors, then you'll need "VobBlanker" to process the VIDEO_TS.IFO (already ripped file from DVDFAB Decrypter). Once VobBlanker is done, you should be able to transcode with DVD Shrink.
To make a long story short, follow these instructions:
(1) DVDFAB Decrypter - to rip the movie into hard drive first
(2) VobBlanker - to process and filter out any left over junks (invalid structural, fake pgc, etc.)
(3) DVD Shrink - to transcode or compress as usual
(4) DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn or Nero - to burn
NOTE: once you get to step #2 VobBlanker, do these steps:
(A) INPUT = browse and load your already ripped "VIDEO_TS.IFO" file
(B) OUTPUT = create a new VIDEO_TS file/folder in your hard drive
(C) click "PROC.ALL" at the RIGHT
(D) click "PROCESS" at the bottom
And now the rest is history, once VobBlanker is done, it should created a new/fresh VIDEO_TS file (free of junks) and now just "load/import" the new VIDEO_TS into DVD Shrink or Nero Recode 2 and transcode as usual.
That's it... easy as sippin' on a Corona. Best of lucks and happy burning!
