up till today DVD shrink 3.2 has been working fine now its getting 3/4 of the way thro the anylize and it stops says " DVD shrink has encountered a error and cannot continue) failed to read file D:/ incorrect function.

I tryed doing a reboot thinking that would fix the problem but its still doing it I even tryed copying the DVD to my HDD with DVDfab it was copied without problems but DVD shrink is not showing the file in the DVD folder what should I do

DVD Shrink is now a rather old program and will not handle the newer encryptions placeed on DVDs.

However, when used in conjunction with a program such as AnyDVD, DVD Shrink is still a fantastic tool.

Take a look at AnyDVD. It has a 21 day free trial.

ok I understand that but how do I fix it I know how to use this program already and I have come to like it I dont have a credit card so I cant buy programs online and I cant afford to get it in a store.
If DVD Shrink no longer works is there another free program online that I could use?

have you tried DVDFAB Decrypter its pretty good and too boot its free

You could try DVD43. It's not as good or updated as often, but it works.

DVD43 is no longer availible. and I have DVDfab but without DVD Shrink DVDfab is no good because my Nero cant burn the files to a DVD disk. I just want my DVD Shrink to work how do I fix it???

I downloaded it but it dosent work it says cant connect DVD43 driver must be installed,up to date and active. But I did install it

but what I have been trying to say is I have no problems with copying the movie to my computer I just cant burn it. I use DVD Shrink to burn not copy Nero cant burn the files copied by DVDfab because the disk is not big enuff thats why I need DVD Shrink to work

Did you try to uninstall DVD Shrink and then Reinstall?

Uninstall all instances of DVDFab Decrypter and DVD43 and then redownload the latest version of DVDFab Decrypter. Rerip your movie to your HDD and try DVD Shrink again, if you come up with the same error run the movie through VobBlanker to remove and correct any protection or bad cells that are left behind in the ripping process and try shrink again.

Input a source (the VIDEO_TS folder already on your puter) and a target (a new folder on your puter) and click process. It will automatically repair any bad cells and correct structure as needed...when it is finished open the "new" folder in DVD Shrink and continue as usual.
