HI again with another question. I have a disk that no matter what I do Shrink tells me that it might not fit on my 4.? gig disk. There is a tiny bit of red showing on the right side of the green bar, just a sliver. Is the only way around it using a flipper or getting the bigger size DVD disk? Thanks. Spark

First remove any unwanted subtitles or audio. If that doesn't work you will have to do one of two things.

1) You can use PgcEdit and remove unwanted files. Then open the movie in shrink. Unwanted files can include FBI Warnings etc. along with trailers and so forth.

2) Use DVD Shrink Re-Author and burn movie only.

Now there are a FEW films in which you may not back up to a DVD-5.

AS said, use Shrink to reauthor and shrink the menus and take the movie only. You shouldnt have a problem unless the movie is like 10 GB large ;)

Thanks, I got it. I used Re-author and had no problems. I didn't know about that before. I'll remember it.

Compression is set to "auto"

Thanks again Spark

@ Spark 1912

IF you select the help in shrink it will give some good example for compression settings. Take the time to learn so that you will make good quality backups!

Glad we could help!
