North Country - No luck with AnyDVD & DVD Shrink

Here I go again. Ok. I was trying to backup North Country and I had Any DVD running in the back ground and tried to run DVD Shrink. It errored out. Any suggestions??? I can not stay up until 1am again this week. I just backed up Hostel and that worked without a hitch. Someone please please help me.

Here is my error - it happened at about 16% Encoding

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue
Failed to read file "E:\"
Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)


Any suggestions?

i backed this up with no problems, although it was a while ago i think i just used AnyDVD & shrink.
make sure the disc is clean & scratch fre, it could be a bad press disc, exchange it if you can

go ahead and just try the AnyDVD ripper and then run in through shrink you should be ok!

I tried Alkohol's DVDFabDecrypter/VOB Blanker/DVD Shrink way and it was erroring out on the DVDFabDecrypter.

So

I resurfaced the disk and tried it again through AnyDVD and DVD Shrink and it worked this time.

Wow - amazing how scratches can really put a damper on backing up DVD's.

if you would have just did what i said you would have been ok, the AnyDVD ripper fixes stuff like the scratches

I backed up North Country with AnyDVD and Nero recode. The information window in AnyDVD said it was CSS protected without any additional protection. Nothing special or new on this disc.

You can use AnyDVD just Right click on the Fox icon in the right side of your PC.Then click onto Rip Video-DVD to harddisc.I dont know if this work with the trial ver.I have the paid version.

The AnyDVD ripper doesn't work for me because after I rip, Nero recode won't open the movie it only goes halfways and gives me some kind of error.

I have the full version of AnyDVD. If I rip, does this mean I no longer need to shrink with DVDShrink? I am not really understanding this process. Can you walk me through how to burn a DVD step by step, from start to finish if I use AnyDVD Rip.
