I have WAY more than I'll use up in a year. MOST of them are TY's!
@arniebear, don't feel bad, my local BB has stopped stocking Sony MIJs too. Only 16x MITs.
I have yet to see any 16x MIJs with the white octagonal spacer, if I do, I'll get some & try em. I doubt they'll be better than Verb 16x. But I don't know that yet. My "theory" is that if they're Made in Japan, they'll be good ones.
Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

My Plex's don't like the MIT Sony, so I am sticking with the Verbs 16x which they love. No problems with TY's of any speed, have not gotten any of the 16x TY's yet but they probably will be fine. I think I will try my Big Lots, they may have some of the MIJ Sony's being that they get leftover stock from stores. Personally, I think I got a lot of AD members in my area because the stores are usually always cleared of MIJ media of anykind, lol :)

Since I only use inkjet printables, I don't even frequent B&M for media anymore!!!

I have been burning at 8x for the majority but have done a few at the 16x to see how they go, which when tested on Plextools come out excellent. Will be picking up some more since they are burning so well.
Oops, my bad you asked about DL's, I use the 2.4x for them since I know they come out great, I am to cheap to waste. But since they are on sale I think I will try the 4x with Clone, I got an error with Decrypter at the 4x speed.

They got the 20 pack on sale at Best Buy for 40.00. I have done mine at 2.4x using Clone, Decrypter and Blindwrite. All have come out excellent and play on my players, the old Toshiba give me a glitch every now and then but the newer players do not have any trouble.

Just came from my BestBuy. There were no Verb DL discs on sale or even there. The sonys were all 16X MIT too. So I bought nothing.

I might just do that after work tomorrow. It never dawned on me to ask about them. I just thought they didn't have them. But you're right they did advertise them as being on sale. Maybe they were in another area and not with the rest of the DVD blank media?? DL are really the only media I need now. They had tons of Memorex DLs overpriced.

If they do not have them then get a raincheck, they advertised them so they have to give them to you. Last time I was at BB for them they had them on a side shelf along with the speakers. I hate playing hide and seek and you can never find someone to ask when you want them, not that the sales clerks no much anyway :)

Have about 360 16x Verb Inkjet printable, 280 16x Verb, 32 Verb Dl, 25 8x Tys, 60 Sony 16x mij [21's junk],20 Maxwells,all +r's, 220 Verb Cd silver printables, about 10 memosux arond the house for coffee cups and glasses to set on.Makin another run to Micro Center this week for some more Verb printables.Need a good sale on Tys to pick up a 100.

I went back and found they had put some out where they weren't earlier. Stupid me didn't think to ask first time. LOL So I got myself 20 DL+R Verbs. You'd think by now these would be a little bit cheaper. DL burners have been around for a while.

May Go and check Bestbuy for the Mij Sony's But am also Thinking on a visit to OFFICEDEPOT who have ( All ) Maxell Media ( according to their sales Flyer 60% off ! I know that some of the Maxell Printables that they carry are Mij ! though I have'nt seen any of the Regular Branded Maxells there that were'nt Taiwan made ! still maight be worth a look anyway right ? When the going get's tough ! the tough go shopping LOL! Happy father's day early to everyone !

Oh how I envy you people who have Office Depot's near you, I would give away one of my Plextors just to have one come back in my area. They all closed up about two years ago and now the nearest one is 150 miles away :(

Kind of obsessive but everytime anyone mentions sale I'm there! I guess I want to be able to burn anything, anytime and not worry about---Do I have enough?

Yes, they have been discontinued. Wholesalers and distributors have many thousands in stock that last for awhile. I used to order from SuperMediaStore until they finally ran out and I recently picked up some from Meritline.

I have 100 of the TYG01's left from my last purchase from meritline. Supermedia ran out a long time back but Meritline is still sending them, at least they were a couple of months ago.
