I want to unlock my NOKIA 1600.
IMEI: 358355004208431, ORANGE Switzerland.
Could you please provide the unlock codes?

Did you check with IMEI: *#06# ,Firmware Version: *#0000# .
Nokia:1600

Network:Orange
Country:Switzerland
Is this correct?
If you know the risks, try this ONCE and ONLY ONCE and let us know if it works. You have only 5 tries and then it will be hard locked. After that you will need a cable thing-a-me-jiggy to unlock it. It should still work on your Network so no big loss.

After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p) \
Press * 4 times fast for (w) IMPORTANT
Press * 2 times fast for (+) /
and the rest of the code---

Note: Some Phones require that you to insert a non accepted sim, you will see "phone restricted", press UNDO option and enter the code in the restriction box and press enter.)
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked.
"Error code" wrong code.
"Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" it's hard locked. Used up all your free tries!!

Yes, this worked perfectly! Thanks a lot!
The telephone is accepting SIM cards from another providers now.
Crosschecking the IMEI with *#06# gave me the same number I wrote you before.
Then with *#0000#
the firmware version states the following:
V 3.42
22-09-05
RH-64
(c) NMP
N1600
The code you sent me was accepted (no SIM card in the phone) and the phone was unlocked.

There seems to be three TIM Networks. I have not done a fone from Brazil before. Try this ONCE and tell me if you get an Code Error.
It should work.

how ever when i put a sim from a different network it reads the sim but i can't make any calls.

You must make sure the new SIM is activated.
Check with a SIM that is known to be good. This phone will NOT work with Digicel in T&T because it is a Duel-Band and Digicel is on another Band (850/1900)
Are you trying a Digicel SIM?
TSTT is on 900/1800 Band. The Phone will work In Europe and some other Islands like Digicel in Barbados.
