Hey Friends,

I unlocked my Nokia 1600.
For those who have the same phone:

1) Go to:
http://unlock.nokiafree.org/

2) Use the DCT4 online form.
3) Type your IMEI
4) Select your network
5) In the GEN-field select Original
6) In the Nokia-Model field select ASIC 2
7) Use the last generated code
How to use the code: Remove SIM card, turn on the phone and enter the code exactly as it is shown. For p, w and + press * several times.

I tried your IMEI and got different codes.

If you want try the last one

but AT YOUR OWN RISK.
As I said - it worked for me and it seems it have worked for a lot of people.
Make sure you enter it exactly as shown. After you enter the last # it should dispay "SIM restriction off".
You have however only 5 tries.

If you know the risks, try this ONCE and ONLY ONCE and let us know if it works. You have only 3 to 5 tries and then it will be hard locked. After that you will need a cable thing-a-me-jiggy to unlock it. It will still work on your Network so no big loss.
