Help with DVD Shrink please

Hello and thank you for letting me join this great site.
I have a tivo and i would like to convert a file that i have in my tivo.
So i can use DVD Shrink to burned onto a dvd.
Also can i use DVD Shrink to edit the file or do you guys recomend another program?

dvd shrink cant burn files to disc.This is a rea uthor program.You need a burning application like imgburn or Nero etc to burn your projects to disc

Ok. But once i convert the tivo file i can use Shrink.
I guess my question is wich is the easier way to convert the tivo file?
Because when i use Shrink wont read the file. I have use Shrink to make backups of my own dvd with NERO. But never with TIVO files.

if its avi/mpeg no probs but you'll need a converter to get it to mpeg2

try DivX to dvd or its new name of convert x to dvd

Once you have downloaded the show from your tivo to your computer,you can put it on DVD with a program calles SONIC,version 7 or 8 not sure off hand.If you know where to go,it can be easily downloaded for free.Hope this helps.

I'm trying to do the same thing and I've been doing a bit of research.

Tivo lets you download a .tivo file which is essentially a mpeg2 file as i understand it with their little tivo wrapper.

You can use a free utility called Direct Show Dump which basically just strips out the tivo wrapper and gives you a .mpg file ( http://prish.com/etivo/tbr.htm )

I've gotten that far in the process, I have the .mpg files but I can't seem to be able to get DVD Shrink to recognize these files. I'd like to get it to do it's wonderful auto-compression trick and give me a usable ISO.

Sonic will convert it to dvd files and then copy it to a disc.

I "aquired" a copy of Roxio media studio 8. Works like a dream with tivo files.
