What kind of mem stick are you using? Sometimes you need to reformat your stick to solve that problem. Socom is known to that on devhook

I would try reformating your mem stick. Im not familiar with that brand at all, it might be causing your problems. Just copy all the stuff in your psp to your desktop, reformat, reinstall devhook and see if Socom shows up. Do you have any other problems like this with any other loaders?

But with Devhook, you can play Socom online. Hellz yeah.
BTW, is it just me that sucks at Socom. I can't even get through half of the first level.

hi, i need help with the internet browser on the device hook 4.0. when i went to the network update to setup a wireless connection, it asks me to download the update which takes up like 20 MB of my memory stick. i was wondering if I let it download the update, will it affect my original fireware which is 1.5?? because i am using the device hook to emulate my fireware into 2.6, wil it affect my fireware 1.5?? I have to download the update in order for my psp to connect to the wireless internet. any help wil be appreicated!!!

I wouldnt fool around with it, although it isjust a network update, not a firmware update. Also, its emulatin 2.5 not 2.6. I have never run ito this question b4, but Im pretty condiesnt in saying nothing will happen, since its just updating your network, not your firmware. BTW, y do you need to do this? I play aa lot of game online, never had to update the netwrok. It should connect to your network without the update. If its not, check your configurations, thats most likely the problem.

no i am not using my network to play game, i wanted to acces the internet browser. but to do, i must first connect to the wireless network, that was when they asked me to download the update. I still dont know if it is a update for the network or for the fireware.

Its for the network. When you upgrade the firmware, you need to chose that option, and under the mem stick, right below the UMD icon. BTW, i browse the net and never been told that I need to upgrade, thats strange.

Honestly, i wouldnt, i have always a bit sketchy about that network update. I know that it only upgrades th browser settings, but I still have a tough time pushing the update button. Let me play with my psp in 2.5 emu, and c whats happens. For now, I would stay away from it.

ok i clicked on the network update and i downloaded the update, it was the update for the firmware 2.71. it said that if u want to update it now press x or u can do it later which wil be underneath the game tab. i am curious......if i click on the firmware update 2.71 using my devhook 0.41, will it update my original firmware which is 1.5 or it will just update the firmware on the devhook 0.41?? this is strange, i dont know what to do.

It'll update your real firmware, meaning your 1.5 will soon be a 2.71.

but howcome......i am running my firmware 2.5 using the device hook 4.1. why would it effect my original firmware, that is so weird. shouldnt it update the firmware on my device hook instead??

HUH? your dh doest have firmware, it used flash emulation to play games. Doesnt have firmware.

thirst97, hell no i am not going to try it. it is a risk i am not going to take. what happen if u were right. if it really does update my original firmware to 2.71. just like what svtstang had said, the word update is scary. i can live my psp without the internet browser, but i cant live without the games.

lolz, thirst97 does the update thing pop out on ur psp when u connect to the wireless?? or is it just my psp, this is so strange. svtstang, did the network update thing pop out on ur psp?? o yea, i am using device hook 4.1a, if i use the device hook 4.1d, would it make any difference??

In terms of interent compatibility, no. In tersm of game ompatibility, yes, it will make a difference.
