Redoli,

I was just wondering what brand burner that you were having the troubles with. I am having the same problems with my cheap NEC 3550-A. I have the most recent firmware I know of for it (1.06) and it will only read certain dvd's

it was a cheap emprex drive but it was great for 2 years, never had a problem with it till those discs. was just thinking it was the f/w that hasnt been updated to work with those discs cause all the other discs i have work fine. oh well just an excuse to buy a new burner cause the original dvd rom drive in the comp wont work at all anymore. and the pioneer was only $60 and works like a champ. compatable with more discs. had to pull some old discs i had lying around for some time and blow the dust off them and burned them just fine. hope that helped as i rambled on and again thanks for everyones help in here.
