Dolphin, I'm completely lost about the firmware updates. I went to "The Firmware Page" looked up my DVDRW drive, and there are TS00-TS13 and a few others. So I guessed probably need the first one then the rest right? well I d/led the first one its a .bin file, and I don't know what to do with it. As for the rest of your question my drives are set to DMA, and the model/name is Samsung TS-H552B. And here I believe is the burn log...

Also as for the media that I am using, I looked up the type of manufacturer with DVD Identifyer and this is the results is it good/neutral/bad?
Disc & Book Type: [DVD+R - DVD+R]
Manufacturer Name: [ Mitsubishi Chemical Corp.]
Manufacturer ID: [MCC]
Media Type ID: [004]
Recording Speeds: [1x-2.4x, 4x, 6-8x, 6x-16x]
---------------------------------------------------------------
So far the ones that i've ripped (around 6) have came out wonderful except for one at burning speed of 8x.
