Sounds like it is still copy protected.

You might want to use AnyDVD or DVD43 in the background and use Nero Recode to shrink your movie...

The development of DVD Shrink stopped many moons ago, but you will find Nero Recode a nice fit. After all, Its basically the same program. The same person who wrote shrink is now working for Nero...

;P

Are you in the US and trying to play PAL video? Sounds like an NTSC/PAL problem.

zoolander,
You can use Avi2DVD or either VobBlanker to try the conversion. Better yet is to buy a DVD Player that will play PAL and NTSC. Wal-Mart had a Cyberhome that would do it for under $50.00. The reason I suggested the player is that when you convert the files you could get the audio out of sync and to fix that is another program that is not free and costs $$. Just Google for the player and you should find them

Rob1026,
They had 20,000+ computer seized by the FBI in a raid on a warehouse for using Phillips's Technology w/o permission. They though are stil selling the DVD Players. This will have to get settled out in court someday.
