btw, Pioneer's automatically bitset dvd-dl media to dvd-rom. so no need to use dvdinfopro or anyother app to do it.

Uh Hi everyone I have a very probaly stupid question!
do you have to have a mod chip? Is there any program that overrides the copyright in the system or what ever?
I would buy a chip but theres the matter of not wanting to lose my system to a fuck up and not be able to get a new one seein how i dont have 500 dollars so im just wonderin

Hi there. Just downloaded dead rising (says its pre-stealth patched) it came in rar format (around 70 files) ive used WinRAR and lw im left with 2 files:
1.) IMAGE dvd file (1KB)
2.) IMAGE000 000 file (7,395,392 KB)
Ive got clone cd 5.0.4.5.
This will be the first xbox360 game ive burn to disk. Just wanted to know if this sounds right as I only have a few dual layer discs.
Do I just burn the big IMAGE 000 file using clone cd (as described earlier in this thread) onto dual layer dvd +R 2.4x at lowest speed as possible(1x)? Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply.
When I try to open the smaller file with clone cd I get an error message:
Error opening File LayerBreak=1913760: The system cannot find the file specified
Any ideas?

When I used WinRAR, ive extracted the 2 files to a new folder(think i just called the folder xbox360) So they are in a different folder to all the rar files.

Can I just check, when using WinRAR to 'unrar' the files, there lots of files in number sequenses-do I just select, for example dr-drisp.r00 and select extract and WinRAR does the rest?

no matter which number you pick, WinRAR will open it and display 2 files, the 2 files are spread out amoung all the rars, so yes, unraring one, will essentially unrar all the numbered rars. what it is, is someone took a large file, split it in 50 and rar it, and no matter which you open you extract the whole file.

Sorry not to interupt your guys' conversation but I have a quick question; hopefully someone will be able to answer it for me. I am getting ready to hook my XBOX 360 up to my pc and am kind of just reading around on what precautions need to be taken and came across this: [quote]WARNING: If you are going to connect your 360 and PC together in *any* way, as I have done several times in the experients below, then you *must* provide the 360 with a path to true earth ground. This is because the 360 has a floating ground and horrible things happen if all connected systems do not agree on the reference voltage. I used a couple of croc clips from the chassis of the 360 to the chassis of my PC to achieve this.[quote] Do I need to worry about screwing up my console by not hooking it up like thiS. I have continued to read around and i guess i do need to do this but cannot find a tutorial on how to do this. Can someone please help tell me if i really need to do this and if I do can you tell me where (or preferribly show me) where I can find a tutorial on how to accomplish this. Thanx a lot!!!

Is it so difficult to make a new post ?
This "hooking up to pc" has been tried and all you get is either a "hunk of hardware" (like ronnie would say, lol) or just wasted time.
It doesn't work, can't be done yet.
Also, what are you trying to do ? lol

@neo_pr:
I am trying to hook my console up to my pc to load my fw but am kind of confused to which way I should do it. I have read numerous tutorials and the one that i was going to use had that warning. It is on the site http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/tutorial/Hitac...alV40Merged.doc ; maybe someone could tell me if it works or not.

i dont have any questions for now, i just wanted to drop in and say that you guys seem to be a very helpful bunch. compared to some of the people over in xbox-scene that is. the questions i did have were answered all within this thread. (for now)
swindler3:
did you get everything worked out? pm me if you didnt, i was a bit curious about this stuff earlier this week.

@tristan_s
keep in mind that xbox-scene takes a much firmer stance on copyright protection....you can get your posting privileges taken away for talking about games you've downloaded and you will get banned if you talk about where you downloaded them. All this firmware hack does is allow a user to pirate games. Plan and simple. There is no homebrew aspect to it, none @ all. Just something to keep in mind.

Yes you can. It will not mod your hacked firmware or detect it. Just update and have fun ^_^
