please please please help !! i am a total neewbie.
i have a 360 with extreme update, i have d/loaded dead rising, files are:
dvd file 1KB
IMAGE1.000 7,395,392KB
mrn-srow.sfv 2KB
i am using clonecd ver 5.2.9.1 with memorex DVD+R 8.5gb
when i open dvd file in clonecd then try and burn it says there is not enough space on the disc ??? this is the same with two other titles with the same files. img burnenr just gives errors atv 55%
my burner can burn dual layer
any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Do you have your Clone CD registered? Maybe trial can burn only sigle layer DVDs? Have you ever burn any other dual layer DVD on it?

mine isnt registered and burns dl just fine
im not sure where, but there are directions online for burning with DVD Decrypter. you could try that
and maybe a firmware update on your drive. what drive are you using?

hi I am new to the xbox firmware scene,but i grasped the whole concept,i got lord of the rings bfme2,injected the ss and wrote it with clone cd{5.2.8.1}.
the 360 says "the disc is unreadable, 1.Clean the disc with a soft cloth 2.Restart the console
for more help go to www.xbox.com/support"
though it recognizes the DVD as a game in the menu
I am using a "lite-on DVDRW SHW1635S"
and a "Mitsubishi DVD+R DL"
any sort of help would be greatly appreciated

HI.first time poster.
God so much to learn.....
Got the box flashed, Verbatim disks,Imageburn software,NEC burner,
6 Coasters already,Waiting for pioneer 111D to arrive as this must be my problem i guess. Would like to know how to insert .ISO file into XBOX360 ss.merger if the files are from .rar files and unrar into the image files not .ISO files like xbox1 games? Do i need to create an .ISO image first?

Just a quick question. My friend has a modded XBOX the original with tons of games, original and copied. Will these work with an unmodded Xbox 360?? Will they work as is with a modded xbox 360?
If it will work I will borrow a bunch of games to play

hey, thanks for the tutorial, i've followed the tutorial, and i have my hitachi xbox flashed with the garyopa 2.1 firmware and i'm pretty sure i did it right, casue it said successful and the box still playes originals...
after burning and inserting i get error something like "to play this game insert into xbox 360" but it is in an xbox 360
am i supposed to flash the firmware back to original before i load up the game or is it supposed to stay as the "hacked" firmware?

well i finished burning a downloaded game (and no it's not piracy, because i just wanted to test if i'm ripping wrong and in doing so i downloaded a game i already own). Downloaded an image.dvd/image.000 file and burned with clonecd, worked perfectly, so i'm doing something wrong in the ripping process
i'm gonna do more research on this whole ss thing and figure it out...
am i supposed to rip the raw (assuming i use isobuster) from the hitachi drive, or the computer drive?
i know the ss has to be done from the hitachi

i ripped mine by using the hotswap method with the use of wxripper 1.2 then patched it with the correct ss...didnt get to burn it yet cause i have a sony burner unfortunetly...
i used my comp dl dvd drive

Thanks for the Tutorial, seems fairly straightforward. I have a question though.
Everyone keeps saying you need a Pioneer 111D to burn Xbox 360 backups. Is this the same as the Pioneer 111, which is the drive I have?

Hi, just a quick question. Last week I downloaded dead rising(it was pre-stealth patched)-I just unrared it which gave me 2 files: a large image file and a very small dvd file-which I burnt fine in clone CD (as per the guide in this thread) and it worked great.
Ive now downloaded Top Spin 2 (PAL), the download had again lots of files which I unrared - but instead of giving me a large image file and a dvd file, I just get 1 large image file (its not recognised in CloneCD as a CloneCD Image Control File (and the icon for the file isnt like the dead rising one, it is a Nero icon).
If anyone can understand what im talking about I just wanted to know if it sounds like I need to patch this file (the were no SS files with the download-although I have a web site which supplies them)- or does it sound like I can just burn this with CloneCD and it will work? Thanks alot.
PS to carcuscra: I use a Pioneer 110D and it works fine, but I think the Pioneer 111D replaced mine, I got mine from bigpockets.com in the UK, they have the Pioneer 111D - very cheap. Im not sure if the 111 is the 111D.

u can try ss merger...and use the correct ss for it...if it works correctly(showing that it matches in green) then its not patched...if it doesnt work(showing red) then its already patched. not sure about Nero files tho

LOFTY2X2 - Thanks for your response. I got my Pioneer 111 from SVP.CO.UK, I had requested a 111D but they sent me a 111 by mistake. It is slightly more expensive than the 111D and I think the only difference is that the 111 can do DVD-RAM recording which the 111D can't. I think therefore I should be ok?

The only other advise id give is use the guides on this web site because they are spot on if you want to do the job right. Good luck carcuscra.
And regarding my last query, I solved the problem myself.
I used SS merger and got SS bin file (as per the guide on this thread) and the game works perfectly. Thanks for your advise gade121.

Ok, I have just downloaded a game and when I run it through WinRAR I get a .DVD file and a .ISO file. Normally I get a .DVD file and a .000 file. Is this still ok to burn straight to DVD with CloneCD or do I need to do something with the .ISO file to get it to work?

Athers. According to this thread(see page one) Tweeder wrote I guide and he mentions PI files (straight rips):
"Straight Rips: At this time these are impossible to do anything with. I group by the name of Pi has been releasing these lately. They are of no use at the current time though."
From what I have experienced your need for speed download sounds like a straight rip PI file so I dont think it can be burned.

carcuscra - i got the same earlier, when i unrared the downloaded game I was left with a dvd file and an iso file and it burned fine using cloneCD as normal.

i have just burned saints row and it keeps looping the menu screen when i select new game. i use verbatim 2.4x not to sure which dvd writer i use it has Emprex on the front please help me
