what programs are their to rip xbox 360 games as i cant find any so i was wondering if any one nows what programs are their to rip xbox 360 games to the hard drive?

Hi,
I've backed up 5 or 6 of my games using the tutorial from this post but I haven't done it lately and I just went to check http://www.ubclass.org/X360SS/sslist.htm for ss.bin files and the site is no longer there???? Can anyone tell me where I can find this site again and a list of the ss.bin files for various games????

you have to open the case to flash the dvd drive...however, there is no soldering involved

Hey guys iv been researching all this 360 modding for a while now and think i got most of it sorted, so ill help were i can.
If you want to make backups of ur own original games i recomend spending a few quid (under £20) on a Samsung SH-D162C DVD drive and updating its firmware with Kreon V0.80.
This will allow you to simply pop your 360 disc in your PC and using Schtrom360Xtract_V3.0 you can create an image of it with all the security in it ready to burn.
Then simply use Xbox Backup Creator to burn it using your DVD writer.
This worked first time for me :)
With games for the 360 being so big its probably wiser to copy from original disc nowerdays rather than downloading them.
I did try newsgroups but i found the choice limited and confusing despite the super speeds of transfer.
So my advice would be either use bittorents and wait a good while or do as i explained above and do them urself in no time.

Since I don't feel like flashing my firmware to rip games, I just am downloading my Saint's Row game off of http://www.frogstick.com, but it comes in multiple files, about 59.iso files and 1.dvd file. I am not sure how to burn this as one full working game, could anybody help me out?

nice suggestion...however, you can easily find and req the games you want on usenet...just gotta know where and how to req...hint - #alt.binaries.games.xbox360 on efnet....also, you'll usually be able to download the game before you can rent it, and for that matter, before it's retail rls date.
another hint...use usenet indexing websites, such as newzbin.com.

Yea thats were im looking for them. im new to newsgroups so a little confused.
I found a game i wanted and downloaded all of the files available for it, although it was fast when i used the SVC to check it i had blocks missing. How do i get these blocks? do i have to reqest them?
Also there wasnt anywere mear as much choice as say http://bt.xbox-sky.com were there are over 200 games available.
On the usenet i found around 10 with all the files and outa them i didnt know if worth d/l them cause they too might be missing files.
I think maybe once i learn how and were to get these missing blocks it would be worth the hastle.
Any advice would be much apriciated.

Hi all
Any1 can help me please:
I downloaded a several xbox360 games using newsgrroups . I extract the files with win rar ,and i get a lot of files,i have no idea how i assemble them to only one iso file,or how to burn them ,i dont even know what a ss file is .Can you PLZ help with a tutorial for a REAL NEWBIE

Have you used the tutorial method on this post to back up games?? If so, do u know where to find list of ss.bin files?? They were once found at http://www.ubclass.org/X360SS/sslist.htm, now I don't know where to get them. This method has worked for me several times before.
