I downloaded DVD Shrink and when I clicked on the file where my dvd movies are, nothing happened. I could not get it to open up. Is there maybe a different shrink version that I might have downloaded? I really do not know what I am doing here but would very much like to learn. thanks, kathy

I usually download DivX or AVI movies. don't know what image or ts are. Also, when I first open the DVD Shrink program, I do not have all the buttons I need. for example:
I do not have the "analysis" and the "backup" buttons. I do not even see the "burn" button anywhere. please help. thanks, kathy

300bowler,
I have used it to do a quick .avi file conversion but the main program I use is Adobe Premiere. Since the price is right why not try it and see what happens. The mpeg files it should do but I am not sure about the Windows Media Video files but it might.
Off topic: I have seen a couple of your posts and you are doing a good job helping the others so keep it up.

Thanks so much for helping me. I really do appreciate it, although I do not even know how to convert the files to MPEG. This sounds like it will be complicated. I also don't even know for sure if I have downloaded DVD Shrink right. I have the version 3.2 and like I said before, I cannot even open the file where my movies are and I do not know why. Will keep trying. Just bear with me.

kattkitty,
The reason it does not open properly probably is, it does not even recog. the files you have on the computer

They need to be MPEG-2 DVD Compliant files first before Shrink will recog. them. There will be 3 types of files created. There will be .vob, .bup and .ifo files that will be created from the AVI files.
