This is what gets me! This is what my ticket states,
This violation was not committed in my presence. The above is declared on information and belief and is based on photographic evidence. I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Arizona, that the is true and correct.
my alleged speed is 37 which tells me they don't know and the alleged violation is Failure to Stop/Remain Stopped for Red Signal/Photo Red Light. I know I did not run this red light and I know I was in the intersection when it was still yellow.
My Declarant has no name? just a squiggly line....how funny.
Oh and get this, now I receive junk mail telling me how to beat red light and photo radar viloations. How do these people know i received a ticket unless the state sold my information to these people.

It is public record actually, they sold nothing.
They usually have weight sensors set at the intersection (look for what appear to be expansion joints in the pavement that seem to just end right in the middle of the road), and they have a picture of you entering the intersection as the light is red. My wife got one here (on her birthday no less :) ).
Again, you have the right to face your accusor. I suspect you should look at local law to determine the validity of the arguement we used here. If you can't face the accusor, they have to drop the charges.

In some states, you don't have to be the one actually driving the car. It's your car and registered to you so the state determines that you are responsible for your vehicle, regardless of who was driving. I got one of these when I was living in Germany in the mid-80's. The picture showed the rear of the car with the tag clearly visibile, the date, time, and speed was shown with a red arrow against a speedometer. Paid it through the Post Office (yep, the PO) and it cost me 10 duetschmarks, which at that time was about $4.00.

I didn't ask for sympathy from anyone and I feel (in Arizona) that this is just a lame money maker scam by the state and sorry for your loss.

If Arizona runs the traffic light game the same way that California dies . . Lockheed Martin is who makes all the money . . the lights are not installed and regulated by the state but by a company who refused to sell the equipment . .

Hi all. I am just jumping in here, being from Cali and all. When you get a redlight ticket here, you get 3 pics. 1st shows your vehicle in the crosswalk and a redlight, 2nd shows your vehicle plate close-up and the redlight, 3rd shows front view of you driving and you know you are screwed. Cost about $380.00 first time and goes on your record, but you can take the driving class and go clean.
