If you highlight yes,hold L+ R + DPAD up button and press x when your going to quit a game so you go back to 1.5 menu not the 2.71 xmb.
Tekken works ok for me I think that it is your DH.Try to update your DH to DHv45. It is not the prx.(only if it did not work)

Do you have a link for 0.45 please Juan? I have looked for it before but i seem to get a dodgy download where i only have some of the files i need.

Juan: Yes, I do have the usbhostfs.exe thing on. It says connected to device and everything, but after I've selected my iso and settings, and pressed start, the PSP turns off. It doesn't even turn back on like it's supposed to, and the USB connection terminates.

Is there any way to NOT let the ISO start in 2.71? Is there a mod that lets you see the PSP Shell menu first, so that you can THEN select Umd game? Cuz sometimes, I just want to browse the net or just listen to RSS channels.
(I know that you can change the parental control to level 1 so it doesn't load). Just wondering if someone every made a mod.

Basically you just keep the same Devhook .45 settings as you normaly use to run your PSP iso games, and just pop out your 1.5 psp game before you boot the 2.71 firmware via devhook. It will load the firmware and not auto start a game (because it can't) and as soon as you put your 1.5 umd in, it will load up as the iso you picked like normal.

I just had the devHook.45 version installed. Works great, but how do i get my other games that previously required Fastloader8 & MPH Loader to work? Should I reinstall those loaders or should the devHook be capable of loading them? if so, how?

Dont the games that load with Fastloader7 and 8 use firmware 1.5?
If thats the case, just chose firmware 1.5 version when you load up one of the fastloader .iso you own

If the games that you had For MPH are untouched It has to work whit DHv45.but If you have one that was fixed(prx)for an old loader try to change the prx's with Street Riders prx or prx's from a game that works whit DH.(Fist try them some worked for me fixed)
Neoneko are this your settings you use(this works for me)
DEVHOOK v0.45(FW v2.71) + USBHOSTFS
TARGET: (reboot XMB)
UMD-ISO: ubshostfs0:/ISO/game.iso
UMD-MODE: ISO ANYUMD
FLASH: ms0:/dh/271(MS HOOK)
UMD Ver.: 2.xx -> 2.00
CLOCK: 222/111
USB: Enabled(or off if you have it in your MS)
PL-ADR: 89000000 (in: OTHER/preload address menu)
Or use the links I put in this page so you have DHv45 whit USB.

yea watever, just wondering if theres some kind of software based way to load the psp shell first. Guess not. I just a bit worried Ill damage the UMD drive, all that Unnecessary Friction AAAAAA!
And the parental control has changed for 2.71. U cant set the password to 0000, select UMD Game, and JUST press X. U gotta change each digit from - to 0 which sucks. Ill just open the UMD drive. Thanks

aah yes thanks for that. i remember doing such with dragonball z shin budokai to get it working but that was a while back. since then i forgot the procedure and no longer have that file. is the prx IN the actual Street Rider iso? and whereabouts should i copy and paste them in the memory stick or should it be over the game's iso that i want to play?

You have to extract the iso or open it whit umdgen v3.02 and look where the .prx file are and put the S.Riders prx in there(only the prx that are in the iso are the ones you need not all the S.Riders prx) for DBZ the GTA prx work. Get prx here http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=361638#p361638 and in page 4 there are some new ones and look for the S.Riders prx that are in one of the pages.

I have a couple of questions:-
1. I would like to use the method to switch back to 1.5 when exiting a game by highlighting Yes, holding L+R+Up then clicking X from within the 2.71 firmware, however it never works for me. I have a JAP PSP so usually O is the main button, however this does get changed to an X when using DevHook 2.71 - could this be the reason that it doesn't work?
2. I am under the impression that 0.45 allows homebrew apps to be started from within devhook 2.71 firmware, however whenever I try to reload devhook or anything else homebrew it gives me a corrupt message. I used the Ultimate installer program that is around so guessed that I should have everything that I need? help....

It has to work when you are going to exit a game.holding L+R+Up then clicking X(but do not hold X) and it dose not work in the 2.71 menu.
Homebrews do work in DHv45(2.71 xmb) but you need to fix then so they work. go to ps2nfo.com and get the NES emu that is fixed to work whit it and to see how to fix them(you need some more app)and I have not tryed to fix them

I am trying the L+R+Up and pressing X when leaving a game that I have been playing in devhooks firmware 2.71. I keep the L+R+Up pressed, and tap X to confirm Yes I want to exit the game. All that happens for me is that it returns to the 2.71 firmware. Should I keep them held after this firmware screen has come up? How long shoud I hold them for?
Just to confirm the L and R are the paddle controls are the top of the PSP and Up is digital up, not analog?

Here's my dilemma. I installed devhook v0.44 and NCAA 07 works fine, thank you. However when I put the other ISOS like MLB 06 or WE9 the game won't start, yet they were working fine on dev 0.41. I am sure it's a setting problem then, what kind of settings one needs to adjust for the older games?

kessel what FW do you have?you need to have 1.5 so this works.
you can downgrade a psp whit FW 2.0 ,2.5 ,2.6 to 1.5
10 do you have the WLAN on? try DHv45 and I think that you need to have your CPU at 222mhz so it works.

Juan, I am using 0.44 and I am not sure what they mean by having the WLAN "ON". I use a router at home presently and I am not sure where the WLAN switch is for the PSP. Thanks. And yes it's set to 222 MHZ.
