I couldn't rip Glory Road with DVD Shrink due to an ecryption code. I even had AnyDVD running behind it, but it didn't work. So I tried a different method... I ripped it with Fab Decrypter, then ran it through VOB blanker, then transcoded it through Shrink as normal, then burnt it with DVD Decrypter. It burnt successfully, however the picture wasn't the greatest. Picture the colors kinda fading...
Can anyone help me? I even tried ripping the ISO file through Nero, but that didn't even work. Would Nero Recode 2 burn you a better picture? Or is it not the burning, and it's the ripping process that's insufficient. If anyone has some advice or a better method, please any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mike

Upgrade AnyDVD to 6.0.3.1. Use it's ripper function to rip files and open files in Shrink or Recode and burn with Nero.

Are you using good media also? Taiyo Yudens, Verbatims, Sony Maxells made in Japan.

You shouldn't double post, I read the same question in the Nero forum.

Yea shit, I just saw, my AnyDVD is version 4.3.0.1. So you think that's it? And you said it's going to have a ripper function? B/c the version I'm using now just runs in the background, it's not a program that opens up or anything if you know what I'm saying.
So then I guess I wouldn't need Fab or VOB blanker, correct?
And then at that point, you say open the files in Shrink, and then I guess back it up on to your hard drive as usual, right?
And then you said recode or burn using Nero. What's the difference b/w recoding and burning?

Ya know that is the process I was doing originally, AnyDVD, then Shrink, then Nero, but for Glory Road it didn't work, but it very well be b/c of the version of AnyDVD I'm using.

Ok thanks for all your help!

Right click the Red Fox head next to clock and select the ripper function.

Recoding is what Shrink or Recode does. They shrink the movie so it fits a 5gb dvd. Nero Burning Rom then burns those shrunken files to dvd. Shrink by itself has no burner program.
If you use Nero Recode to open the files and proceed it will recode the files and burn them automatically.

Close all other open programs except what you are using to do the movie and don't multitask while pc works.

Would you be able to send me the software for AnyDVD 6? I'm having trouble upgrading. I have version 4. My AIM is Hockeman21. Can we connect and you send it to me please? I'll hook you up with anything you'd like, from softwares, to movies, to music...

Thanks dude

You'll have to buy the software from slysoft. Not good to ask for hacked software here, especially AnyDVD.

Pazzini gave you the site.

Let's have a peek at the forum rules asking for serials or pirated software is a no no. Multiposting isn't allowed either. I closed your other thread but also gave some advice since you mentioned using DVDFab Express,

I wanted to ask you about the media. You had said it could be the media I'm using. Right now I'm currently using Fuji Film DVDR +.

How is that?

Thanks

Fuji uses different manufacturers so to find out who manufactured your media we need to run the disc through a media identifier like DVD Identifier,

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd-r_tools/dvd_...

It's a handy little tool to add to your toolbox :)

Cool. I downloaded that DVD identifier. I ran my DVDR, and this is what it read:

[00:02:17] DVD+R/+RW Medium Detected. Starting Identification...
[00:02:17] ** Initiating ADIP Retrieval Method 1 (Original ADIP)
[00:02:17] ERROR : ADIP Read M1 Failed : Illegal request - Invalid field in CDB [05/24/00]
[00:02:17] INFO : ADIP Read Method 1 Not Supported ; Method 2 Will Be Attempted
[00:02:17] ** Initiating ADIP Retrieval Method 2 (Copy Of ADIP)
[00:02:17] ADIP Read Method 2 Completed Without Errors
[00:02:17] Disc Identification Completed Successfully

So what does this mean now haha? What is this telling me??

Thanks!

Is that the entire log? What make/model drive did you read the disc in? Some ROM's can't read the ADIP off discs. Do you have Nero installed?
