i have tried to backup these two titles trying many things such as shrink/dvdfab(express) and keep being told the programs have to close due to an error. I backed them onto hdd fine when ripping with AnyDVD but because of the size of the films i can't burn them until i can shrink them. please help !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello.

Try processing the ripped files through FixVTS or Vobblanker before allowing DVD Shrink to open them.

You might also try using ripit4me which uses the old school method of DVD Decrypter with a PSL file.

If you have DVD Shrink set up to burn automatically with Nero, disable that feature in Shrink.

cheers laddyboy. Had just noticed the info given on a couple of posts down saying much the same and tried to clear this one and being a newbie . . . . failed. But many thanks for the quick response. Not much of a tech bod myself (doesn't know what a PSL file looks like even when it runs up from behind and slaps him on the back of the head with a wet fish) but know the basics for copying and willing to learn much more here. (bows to oracle). Thats if i don't get kicked for posting threads that have been answered 4 or 5 posts down. Once again many thanks :)

it is out now 300bowler. i bought it about a week ago so should be out on general release. didn't quite know what to make of it. great film but it doesn't seem sure if it's ment to be a comedy or serious drama. and i didn't think much of freeman and kingsley's roles. for two of the worlds greatest actors they seemed out of place hence the comedy/drama conflict but well worth watching. Great story line.
