Tutorial on running ISO's via USB on Devhook, Firmware 1.5 ONLY

Question, the Devhook 0.46 that I have it came with the automatic installer, Does that have the "mods" to load from a external HD?
And yes my psp is version 1.5

There is a automatic installer that has the mods.(when you are going to install DH it has 2.6 and 2.71 FW and mod)I do not know if you have that one.
Go to ps2nfo.com and get a DHv46 full pack with mods.(or here in the fist page)

The only mod that comes with the ultimate installer is the usb mod/no autorun mod.The others download from ps2nfo.com

I was just wondering if there is any way for this to work without a umd in the drive for mine is broken, any help would be great

Yes there is a way for it to work with no UMD but not all new games work and you need to fix some game so they work.(put older prx's in iso)
Try to use Devhook 0.45 with MPH or Runumd as external launcher,
Umd select: Megaman.iso
Umd mount: Noumd (1.5 only)
CPU: 222 mhz
Boot select: Reboot xmb
And then back in the menu choose MPH and it will run
These are the settings that load old games.
target: reboot UMD
UND_ISO:ms0:/ISO/psp- need for speed most want.iso
UMD-MODE: ISO ANYUMD
Flash:ms0:/dh/150F(nandflash)
UMD Ver.:2.xx-> 2.00
This setting work with all games untouched(original prx's) but you need a UMD
DEVHOOK v0.46(FW v2.71)
TARGET: (reboot XMB)
UMD-ISO: ms0:/ISO/game.iso
UMD-MODE: ISO ANYUMD
FLASH: ms0:/dh/271(MS HOOK)
UMD Ver.: 2.xx -> 2.00
CLOCK: 222/111
USB: Enabled(or off if you have the iso's in your MS)
PL-ADR: 89000000
and try to go here http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?p=226272#post226272 and PM Escultor(Registered User) he has his UMD drive broken and can tell you some of the games he fix(prx's)
Tell him to give you his settings.

I did exactly as you explained, but it doesn't work :' /
I've tried several tekken iso's but i get the same error every time; wrong regional code. What am i doing wrong? pls help

where did u buy ur psp where is the game ffrom eur or usa and how big is ur tekken cause maybe theres a file missing

I bought my psp in norway (where im from;p). I got four different tekken
iso/cso and they're all about 1,2 1,7 1,8. JAP, EUR and multilanguage.
Dont really matter if the iso is big, cause i got a 4gb memory stick.
Just now i tried to run bleach: heat of the soul 2 with dev hook and it didnt work either, same error. But i managed to run it with UMD emulator and MPH Loader.

uninstall devhook
delete all files from ms
then u install devhook and put any of the isos in it.. after that if it doesnt work check the files u installed or get a new devhook installer

If you have all the DH files where they go on your MS it has to work.
All 3 Tekkens(US,EU,JP) work with this settings

hi im try to play infected thru the usb but everytime i try to it goes to the psp logo and frezzez this are my settings

doesnt infected work perfect with the UMD emu?
oh and does anyone got socom ftb working with devhook .43 my ISO doesnt show up on the iso select screen bad iso?

I have Infected and Socom ftb working with the same setting that you used.(DHv46 2.71)
Is it only the Infected iso that does not work or all your games?
I think that it is your FW files.Try to get a new DHv46 full pack.

What is the name of your socom game?
if you can not see socom ftb I think it's the name that your iso has.(if it has dots in the name you can not see it)Socom f.t.b.
Try to rename your iso to Socom

dang i just deleted the iso and started to get a new one, but maybe this one will have the right naming. Thanks for the help Juan !

i cant use any iso, i have the UI v1.1.1.exe and i have 2.7
how do i use umd emu with a 32mb stick, i mean can i use usbhost with it too

If you can not play any iso games then it is your DH files.Try to get the DHv46 full pack with mods at ps2nfo.com(or get the full pack here in the fist page)
UMD emu does not work with usbhost(only from MS)

The games that do not work are not untouched.(like Daxter)
To fix it chainge the prx's in the iso with the Street Riders prx's and it will work.(use UMDgen 3.5 and open the iso put the S.R. prx where the othere .prx in Daxter are and make a new iso)
