under system software is says version 3.01 is this the firmware

YES thats your firware, unless you have GTA LCS unpatched you're screwed. cuz the only downgrader available right now is 3.03 to 1.5 and that requires that game.

Letrice yes you have 3.01 and need to update to 3.03 and use the 3.03 downgrader.(that needs GTA LCS UMD unpatched)it has the 2.0 FW in the UMD

There is not downgrader for 3.11(so you can not use any apps)
only up to 3.03

for some strange reason i cannot change the language back to english. i run devhook and then when the new xmb comes up it is in a different laungauge when i go to settings to change it nothing happens. do i have to do something else?

ok i have a game on my pc that needs fw 2.81 the fw on devhook in this tut is 2.71 how do i play the game via usb. i only have a 32mb memory stick btw

bassdevil search for the 2.71 hybrid FW.(or DHv52 3.11 FW but no USB)
or 3.10 OE-A2 with a USB mod(search for it) http://www.psp-haxors.com/

I need help. For this im on the part where you start up usbhostfs.exe and need it to say "Connected to Device" I can't get it to say that. I am using Devhook .46 Gui mod. Somebody please help me.
I would greatly appreciate any help.

dwarf1579 you need to tell me all that you do. Did you do all that was in the first page here?
and first open usbhostfs.exe then go in to Devhook.

i tryed what you said juan2320 but i cannot install them becuase i only have a 32 mb memory stick. Is there another way?
Edit: how can i install the usb mod on devhook 0.51? as i managed to install it.

matt11504, edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP.
2. An image-only signature should be less than 50kb in size, and be at most 500 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall.
4. If you want to use both text and image in your signature the image should not be more than 500 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall, and you can use up to three lines of text.

dwarf1579 and bassdevil why are you posting the same thing 2 times.(that is not gong to help) I will post when I have time.
Yes the usb cable has to be connected with the psp at all times.(that is how it loads the game)
you install the usb mod on devhook 0.51 the same as in DHv46 but you have to get the USB mod for DHv51.(search for it)
ther is a 2.71 hybrid FW pack in the psp-haxors.com forum.(look for it) that is the only FW(2.71) that works with USB in Devhook.
ddp why are you leting them post the same things 2 times?
matt11504 I don't know why you get that.(tell me what you are doing) Do you have a UMD game in your drive? (you need it)
and if you have 3.03 OE-C it's better to use a USB mod for that.(search for 3.03_OE_UMD_Image_USB_Mount_v1.03_Plug-In)
