ok first sorry about the post padding. secondly i found a hybrid fw that played fw v2.81. its great thanks for the help and sorry about the post padding.

bassdevil the hybrid fw is not a full 2.81(it's a 2.71 with some 2.81 files) or like the one I have is 2.71 with 3.01 FW files. but not all new games work. So DHv52.01 with 3.11 is better.

Hi, forgive me if this has already been mentioned but I have just registered and am going through the steps on page 1 of this forum but point 2 directs me to links which do not exsist. Am I doing something wrong or is there a new link for me to access so I can begin loading the necessary software? Thanks ?

Thanks for the tutorial; just had a problem.
All the downloads and worked and what not for me, so everything went fine till the last moment when you're in Devhook on the PSP; it connects with the device (through usbhostfs thing) and when you choose the UMD Select option; it has no options at all (not even UMD Disk,) and Triangle doesn't work to cancel out; the best thing to do is put it to sleep then wake it up (and then it has the folders but if you click them it doesnt seem to work) but the problem is in the USBHostFS program, when you select 'UMD Select' it says in the USBHostFS; "Error, invalid magic 6F73682F", I've searched it on the internet and can only find a chinese site which I can't seem to connect to. So if anyone knows any fix and what not, it will be greatly appreciated.

well i read what you have put and im no expert myself so if these answers are worng then i'm sorry. The first things that i though of when i read this were;
1. did u install the drivers properly?
2. did you put your iso's in the iso folder?
3. Do you have a UMD disk in the UMD drive? (might help i dunno)
then you also said that you can't play a umd disk? this to me seems as if your devhook is screwed maybe you need to download it again and try it again. Hope this helps as i am not 100% sure what is going wrong as i never had any propbems like this.

after i successfully installed devhook .51 i find myself unable to get usbhostfs running. which worked perfectly before with .47... anyone having the same problem?

0ni- it was DHv46 (not .47)
and you need a new USB mod for devhook .51 (but it only works with 2.71 FW) so you can not use it on the other FW that DHv51 has.

I've hada fairly extensive look and couldn't find any help to my prob so thought id ask. I've installed everything correctly and can get virtua tennis to load fine, but that's a fairly small ISO. any others i try (Tekken Dark Res, Metal Gear Port Ops, WWE 2007 etc) fail immediately.I've tried placing letters r-v at the start of the name and had no luck. Anyone got any clues? Thanks, Liam

dlguiler all of that games need a biger FW so they work.(they do not work whit 2.71)
What FW in Devhook do you have?

I guessed it might have been firmware issues, but i've been using daxziso rather than devhook and can't see where you'd change firmware within that. but il hook it up through devhook as iv got up to 3.01 i think in that. cheers

hmm iv hada bit of a look around, is it possible to run the iso's on devhook 0.51 without using modded firmware? I don't fancy running the risk of bricking my psp. if not il just get a bigger mem card. thanks

yup got all that sorted and got 3.11 up and running fine. from here where do i go about running isos via usb, coz the tutorial on this thread is only for 0.46 and there isnt anything obvious on the devhook menu. cheers for the help

dlguilery you can not running isos via usb with the new devhook. but you can have DHv.46 and the new one in your MS.
There is a usb mod for the new DH but it only works up to FW 2.71(so it's the same as haveing DHv46)

Ive got 3.03 OE-C and many ISO's on my pc. I want to play that on my PSP but nothing works, DAX ZISO 0.62 doesnt work, devhook, nothing.....
I can see all my iso's with DAX and de devhook usb mod, but when I tried to start them, I get a black screen in DAX and my PSP turns off in devhook....
Can I play ISO's on 3.03 Oe-c or....?

farris12 edit your post. (this is not a OE thread)
if you have 3.10oe-a(update to 3.40 OE) you do not need devhook.
put your iso's in the ISO folder and they will be in the game menu.
there is a USB mod for OE FW's search for it.(usbmount 1.03 Plugin)
