DVD shrink too slow

Hi Folks,
Any ideas on how to speed up the backup process after changing the compression settings? DVD Shrink indicates hundreds of hours to complete. Something is not right.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

uninstall and do a clean reinstall of DVD Shrink first

dont run other programs while your transcoding and burning

transcode and burn on a clean machine (disc cleanup and defragging often)

your main problem is your drives have probably slipped into PIO mode where as they need to be in DMA mode you can fix that in device manager by uninstalling the drives then rebooting and windows will reinstall them or use this guide.
