The first time you use DVD Shrink on a dvd it will do a fast scan analysis of the dvd that in my experience takes at most a couple of minutes. If the dvd scans all the way through without detecting a problem it usually will copy with no problem.
On occasion I will make multiple copies of a dvd assuming that all the copies are good but find out later that one or more copies are actually defective.

If I make only one copy I can run it through dvd shrinks fast scan mode to determine if the copy is good. The problem is that DVD Shrink will not do a fast scan of additional copies. This is likely due to the program recognizing the particular content.

Is there a way to have DVD Shrink fast scan multiple copies instead of just the first one?

vbro ,
The analysis is kept in a log that is on your computer so that is why it scans it one time quickly. The only way to tell if you have a good burn is to use DVDinfoPro ( free) and do a scan test to see if there are any read errors. You can also do a PI/Po test if you want. Shrink can not scan multiple copies of the same movie unless you remove the analysis file that is in Shrink History file. The error code you might be getting is Shrink's sometime inability to keep the 16kb separation between the ifo and bup files constant

The easiest way to do multiple copies is to use the iso function and using Imgburn, burn the iso file to HD

This could also be due to bad media, burning too fast or out of date firmware.

I have a question for something similar to this.
How can I access those history files? I don't have an 'application data' file. could it go by some other name?
My problem is that I've run The Watcher in the Woods shrough DVD Shrink, then (after first running through Vobblanker) went back into Vobblanker and processed, skipping some warnings and such.
I think because it's different now DVD Shrink wont accept it.

tyl,
Welcome to the forum. You probably have the Files Hidden. Unhide the files and it is there.

I would rip the DVD to HD first. You can use DVDFAB Decrypter, Ripit4Me, even the ripper function in AnyDVD. If you use DVDFAB Dec. then use VobBlanker to correct the structure problems and then after it corrects them then use Shrink. If you use the other 2 programs I mentioned then they use FixVTS ( baby brother to VobBlanker) and they automatically correct the Structure issues. Shrink has not been updated in years and it just needs help w/ the decryption and so that is why you use those other programs
