Hello,
I'm new to this forum and I want to thank you in advance for any help. I'm sorry if my question has been answered elsewhere in this forum, but I couldn't find any help:
I have used DVD Shrink and I'm trying to burn a DVD with Sonic's MyDVD software. I get an error message that says "A thumbnail could not be created. You don't have a proper decoder--47010."
The DVD files will play in Window Media Player, but won't burn to a disc in Sonic MyDVD.
there r many different ways and programs 2 burn dvds.
U can try with ImgBurn? which is free
Also i have used all of the sonic burning programs in the past and did not like them at all, used them because they came with the burner i bought. i now use Nero burning rom and in my opinion is extremly better then sonic, u can do a free trial of Nero too.
Also, I just tried to burn a DVD that was too big for the Memorex DVD-R. What's up with this? Did I get the wrong type of blank DVD? I need about 7,000 bites but the disc's capacity is around 4,500 bites.
If you ran the file through Shrink and it is still to big to burn, process a second time through Shrink. If you do not want the entire DVD copied, you can use the reauthor mode and get rid of everything other than the main movie, this will help decrease the file size without effecting the compression quality.
yes most of all the commercial dvds are DL(8.5Gs) disks which have more than 4.7Gs, that is why u have to shrink them in order 2 fit on a SL(4.7Gs) disk.
and yes that best buy person didn't know what he was talking about.
U could find deals like that for that other media i listed too. just recently officeMax had verbs 50 pack for 15$, they usually have those on sale once every month. but u should still try the IMGburn.
