Hi smoke6948
No DVD Shrink 4.0. The last version ever is 3.2.0.15. Stopped being updated a litle over 2 years ago.

Binkie,
I have that version. On newer DVDs I am getting an error that there is data that DVDshrink can't handle.
I use DVD Decriptor to copy the DVD to disk.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Smoke, I have used DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter and let me tell you, it's less of a headache and hassle to just buy 1 CLICK DVD COPY PRO. I am so glad I shelled out the bucks. First of all, with 1 CLICK you get updates. DVD Shrink will never have another update because the creator got pressured into stopping his decryption program. Plus, like the title says you just click start and that's it! With the others you have to go through various steps.

AnyDVD is the best for the money. It runs in the background while using DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter, is updated constantly and has a bunch of othe features. I've never had any problems backing up discs... Just my opinion.

Actually, DVD Shrink won't be updated because the person that made it now works for Nero and made Nero Recode 2, same program, same features, different package.
If you are used to running DVD Shrink and don't have Nero Recode the best thing you can do is get Any DVD. They have a 21 day free trial to make sure you like it. Then you buy it once and you have free support for life. It simply runs in the background with Shrink and you have no extra steps. Takes all the copy protection off for you.
Go to www.slysoft.com and that will explain it to you.

Use Alkohol's guide or Arniebear's guide. Both use free programs and work really well. Link in my sig.

@sam805236
How is the picture quality on movies that require high compression?? The only reason I ask is because, as far as transcoders go, I have not found one that tops Shrink/Recode 2 as far as picture quality. But I have never personally used 1 Click, so just wondering your opinion. Thanks in advance.

@ ebega, I watched king kong @ about 50% compression on a SL Taiyo Yuden and the difference in pic quality is hardly noticable. Although 50% compression is risky, I try not to go above 35%. On DL, you never have that problem though.
