Hi Shad0revR
Here's some suggestions:
Quote:
Physical memory : 447MB
Free physical memory: 25MB
Memory in use : 94 %
Waaaay too much memory in use. No multi tasking and shut down any unnessecary programs.
Quote:
CdRomPeripheral : SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SD-616E atapi Port 2 ID 0 DMA: Off & DiskPeripheral : Maxtor 6Y160P0 atapi Port 3 ID 0 DMA: Off
Turn DMA back on - probably won't help with the burn error but this is a faster transfer mode.
http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/checking%20DMA.pdf
Quote:
Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. AM3
Big problem causer - not the best by far and more than likely why you have so many failures (along w/ burn speed of them). Better to use Verbatim or made in japan only Fuji, Sony or Maxell.
Quote:
Burn process failed at 16x
For these slow it down to 4x.
Quote:
Nero API version: 7.0.8.2
Using interface version: 6.3.1.4
Still have some of Nero 6 left. So uninstall Nero - run the clean tool and reinstall.
http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/us/Nero_6_CleanTool.html

Try these and let us know how it goes - good, bad or otherwise!

edit: typos :)

Welcome to the forum. Below are the errors:

1. Scsi-Device-Map ===
CdRomPeripheral : SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SD-616E atapi Port 2 ID 0 DMA: Off
CdRomPeripheral : LITE-ON CD-RW SOHR-5238S atapi Port 2 ID 1 DMA: On
DiskPeripheral : Maxtor 6Y160P0 atapi Port 3 ID 0 DMA: Off
DiskPeripheral : QUANTUM FIREBALLlct15 20 atapi Port 3 ID 1 DMA: On

DMA needs to be on. Go into device manager and uninstall the burner's and then reboot and let Windows re-install the device properly

Suggest you also d/l a registry cleaner and let it clean out the registry of any conflicts as that also will but a burner into PIO mode

2. Physical memory : 447MB (458220kB)
Free physical memory: 25MB (25660kB)
Memory in use : 94 %

You do not have the necessary memory to do a movie. Cut off all unnecessary processes. Turn off the internetand turn off the antivirus and firewall and anythng else you can cut off

3. Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. AM3
Disc Application Code: 64, Disc Physical Code: 193

The disk manuf. is one of the worst . Dump those disks and either use Verbatim of Taiyo Yuden.

4. The disks are not being recog by the burner. A firmware upgrade might be needed.

No worries Shad0revR
You can use the link in my post above (http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/checking%20DMA.pdf)
or this one:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038
to help you along.

What do you mainly use Nero for?
Do you still have the install .exe for 7.0.8.2?

Well 1st let's make sure the drives we listed above are in DMA mode.
Free up some memory - no multi tasking and shut down any unnessecary programs
Then try burning the discs that you have on hand at 4x.
The media may be one of the main culprits here.

Try that and we'll go from there.

That is definately a problem. DMA needs to be the transfer mode, to enable it uninstall the driver for the device and reboot your PC, upon restart XP should find the correct drivers and reinstall the device in DMA mode.

Keep us posted on your outcome.
You can also check your drive's DMA mode in Nero. Go to ToolKit>InfoTool>configuration tab.
