Has anyone else here had to send there Xbox 360 back to Microsoft for repairs? They told me they were sending me a box for me to send it back to them in. I has been almost 2 weeks and no sign of the box. Meanwhile I am stuck with no Xbox, which sure makes finding fun alot harder. It seems like MS is taking there time sending my the box. At this rate it is going to be over a month for me to get the box, send the Xbox to them and for them to send it back! I know they are either gunna find a problem and then stick me with some hidden fees for the repairs even though I have warranty left or send me a refurbushed Xbox that still is broken. I'm gunna right down the Serial Number just for curiosity reasons to see it I get the same Xbox back. Anyways all I can say is, I Hope The Box Gets Here Soon!

The Box should be delivered to your Door in 2 days. Call 1-800-4myxbox to see where the box is. The probly forgot to send it. They do that because they run out of broken refurbs to send people. LOL! Ya you usaly have to call twice for some reason.

I doubt it is the fan because it still makes the loud humming sound when I play and I dont think the fan being stuck would make the screen freeze up and make that loud noise

I called the 1-800-4-MY-XBOX customer service line to check up and see why my box they are sending me is taking so long and they said that they had to take 24-48 hours to investigate the issue and see why it hasnt arrived. It has been over a week and I still gotta send it back to them in the box and wait for it to be sent back to me after they look at it. Hopefully soon I can play again.

The Reason I was asking about the hum, and the way idescribed it and the way you described it, it's probly your Hard Drive connection thats what the hum usaly indicates. They might just give you a new Hard Drive, If you have a hard Drive.

The actually asked me to test to see if it was my hard drive before they sent me the box and it froze even with it off. They told me to keep my hard drvie when I send them the Xbox which is a plus because I dont have to risk losing all my gamerscore and all that stuff

Ok, the problem is most likely that the conection on the motherboard that goes to the Hard Drive went bad, not the Hard Drive and if that Is the case the would have to replace the old Motherboard so you will most likely get a used/refubushed XBOX.

If it doesn?t, you call them back and say hey my 360 broke it sent it to you and you sent me another broken refurbished one. Can you pleas send me a "NEW" one. That?s what I did with my Cingular Moto Razr when it died. It was under warranty so Motorola sent me just a Refurbished Handset and the told me to send the old one back. That Handset came broken so I called again and said what I told you before, and they said ok pack every thing that came with it up in the original box except for the Sim chip, and the next day I received a new Moto Razr in an Original Box. Usually Microsoft will do that if you word it that way.
Good Luck

Are you sure it is 90 days? I have had mine since Nov 22nd and I still had warranty when I called a little over a week ago.
EDIT: Dang 3 already!, Wouldnt that make you think that they aren't really fixing it when they says they are? Did you try asking for a new one like Domereis mentioned?
Big Thanks To Jamaal10!

When you get your New one Purches the 2 year plan from Microsoft for 49.99 if you use creditcard, or 59.99 if you use check. There is a sheet with the info that came with your 360. You can mail it in or do it over the phone.
@ Smurff
Do you have that 2 year Warranty? If so the way the text is stated in section 5 of the contract "If all else fails and our Service experts actually conclude your Xbox 360 console or controller is beyond repair, we?ll comfort you with a replacement, including the latest features? Microsoft is required to replace you 360, not with a Refurb, but with a new Console, if you want to get all legal. And lets say your Xbox breaks after Microsoft has put HD DVD drives in the consoles they have to give you a new console with a HD DVD drive, ect.
So all in all that contract is worth it.

So basically if I buy the warranty and it craps out after the HD DVD drives are in then I score myself a HD DVD drive for free?

Yup, Microsoft Made a huge Mistake on the way they worded it. Its all about thew legal crap. LOL.
And if you have that Warenty and your 360 dies they have to replace it with a new one just because the way section 5 was worded.

Well yea when people call in and read that text and say I want a new one. They just printed so many copies, and put them in so many XBOX boxes, that they would lose money if they went back and opened every XBOX box that was on the shelf and took out the contract and replaced it with a new one. I am sure they are printing a revised contract at this time.
I could be wrong, but I do know some people have used that Text to make sure they get a new 360!
